As a college student and first time yoga student, I didn't want to spend an outrageous amount of money on a yoga mat. When I asked my brother about good mats to buy, he first pointed me towards mats that cost $50 or more. Seeing as how I had never tried yoga, and how I didn't even know if I would like it, I didn't want to spend $50 or more on a class I was taking twice a week. We found this one, and because of the combination of generally positive reviews and the reasonable price, I purchased it. It's been good so far. It's just thick enough that the gym floor of my class doesn't bother me, but not so thick that I feel like I'm standing on a mattress. It is two sided, and I haven't tried the grey rippled side yet. I've noticed when I have a particularly vigorous session that the blue side tends to get a bit slippery.I've also noticed that after about four weeks of use twice a week, there are some small rips starting to appear in the blue side. I'm not sure if this is from use of from being carried to and from class, but at the price I wasn't really expecting it to last forever.My bottom line is it's a good beginner's yoga mat, but that's it. If you want a quality mat that will last a long time, this is probably not it.If you're trying out Yoga for the first time and you're not sure you'll like it, this is a good mat for you.

Overall this does what it's supposed to do...provides some padding for my workouts. I use it as a yoga mat as well...but I don't necessarily recommend that because it kind of moves around (which, on the plus side, could give you more of an ab workout during your down dogs).Quality: it's okay...I haven't had it very long and there are already a bunch of tears and such in it. And I don't think it was in great shape when I got it...but no big deal.Here's the major problem: sometimes this thing kind of 'sticks' to my hardwood floor...which is great...but sometimes it's like a f*ing MAGIC CARPET. I'm pretty sure I'm going to seriously injure myself one of these days by stepping on it with slightly too much momentum. :-/

Great product. I shopped around to the point of almost not buying a yoga mat because I couldn't find one that had all the qualities I cared for. This one is thick but not overly thick. It's plain black...nothing fancy here but it's not totally bland either. It's long enough and wide enough for a big guy like me. Very happy with this purchase and it seems like a quality built mat as well.

This exercise mat is good, just the right size for me. The only reason I did not give the 5th star is because it did not come in with a carrying bag like most exercise mats are.It did arrive in good condition and on time.

Wonderful product. Nice and thick and excellent to do pilates on. I was worried because not only do I have a bony back, there are times that pilates exercises just don't feel really too great on my yoga mat. This is so nice, I have no pain. I love it. Would definitely recommend. Well worth it and good value.

I think this mat is great. As a third grader i think this thing is cool for gymnastics. If you have someone who does gymnastics buy this thing for them. Its not to hard and it travels well. It also is in good use for gymnastics. It also is cheaper then other gymnastic mats.

I bought this as a sleeping mat for my daughter but ended up using it for my yoga classes. Nice and soft for meditation time at the end but it also enabled me to keep traction and balance without slipping during the poses. Laid nice and flat for such a thick mat.

Its good. Easy to use and closet when done. Low sweat on this mat.
