I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the Rack and Pinion Kit for the 2011-2013 Kia Sorento and 2010-2012 Hyundai Santa Fe (Complete Power Steering Rack and Pinion Assembly, Outer Tie Rods Replacement) that I recently purchased from your store. After paying for the installation by a certified mechanic, he informed me that the product was leaking. This is highly disappointing as I trusted your product to be in proper working condition. The defective kit has not only caused me inconvenience but also additional expenses for the installation and the removal of the faulty part. I request a full refund for the cost of the product and compensation for the labor charges incurred due to this issue. I expect a prompt response and resolution to this matter.

Hi, as a retired mechanic I don’t really like doing my own work. But sometimes yo just have too. LOL…. The took me 5 hours to install including BS time and a hot dog. The hardest parts were one stubborn bolt that took a 6 foot breaker bar and getting to the lower rubber return line to replace it. The Truck is a 1997 Tacoma 4x4 with a 3.2. The difficult bolt was the one facing down from the rack. The others all came out with an impact. The rubber line is NOT 3/8 inch hose. It’s slightly bigger. Probably metric. 3/8 will go on but it’s super tight. Make sure to remove the sway bar before trying to get the rack out. The metal line by the U clamp needs to be loosened to get the U clamp in or out. Replace all the rubber bushings, under the U clamp and all the sway bar bushings. It’ll save you headaches later. I measured the tires from the front from tire to tire to try and get the alignment close. Try to get the tie rod ends back to that measurement when your done. You’ll need to take it and get the alignment checked when everything’s done. Mine was very close. For the steering connection, remove the upper and lower bolts at the splines, spores the connections a little with a screw driver and spray a little knocker loose in there. The joint will push up. With a few taps from a brass hammer. Putting it back together is easy. Just make sure the steering wheel is straight in relation to the wheels. Refill the pump and bleed the air and your done.

the part is great. the packaging for shipping not so much.the box was a bit big and not filled very much stuffing. so one of the tubes on the rack body got smashed.the short "pressure" or "in" tube. the part fits great. even came with mounting bushings installed. just wish i could get ahold of detroit axle to get another tube to replace the bent one. dont really want to ship the whole thing back and then have the next one get damaged too. but having problems reaching them.

It was packaged well. I made a mistake of not checking all the parts. The two new included tie rod ends were miss-matched. One had a Grease Nipple and the other without. What was strange is the grease covers did not have retaining clips to hold them down like my old one. I am wonder how the grease will stay in place? Well, it looks like I will have to replace them in the short future. Very annoying. Also Note, the cheap one requires old sensors to swapped on, so don't throw away you old Rack or you will be stuck and forced to buy a new sensor, which will blow all the little savings you made here. I thought it would be fine after install and adjustments but on the road, I noticed it was a little sticky on turns. Parking is Great, light as a Feather. My 2 cents BUT IT WAS CHEAPEST CHOICE. Car Drives.
