Gluten-free matzo ball soup is one of my favorite meals. I often make it for friends and neighbors and everyone loves it. I add a little turmeric and parsley to the balls and they taste like regular Matzo balls, maybe better. Like potato dumplings. Delicious

This was surprisingly good. I haven't had a real matzo ball in years, but if memory serves this convincingly approximates the flavor. I found the texture to be too fluffy and insubstantial. But when I made the second batch (you get two batches per box) I omitted one of the three tablespoons of oil called for in the directions and only used two. This increased the density of the finished matzo balls and gave a better mouthfeel. Oh, and I NEVER boil my matzo balls in water as per instructions on every matzo ball mix, gluten free or not. I ALWAYS boil them right in the chicken soup which makes them ever better tasting. I do remove them as soon as they're done and add them separately to the bowl. I don't know if these gluten free ones absorb the way the traditional ones did, but if I didn't remove them they'd absorb 80% of the soup within a couple hours.Thanks to Streit's for coming out with a gluten free matzo ball. Now I won't have to gaze longingly at family members enjoying theirs at Passover Seder while I suffer without. Between this and Yehuda gluten free matzo squares, I'm getting back some of my Jewish traditions without compromising my health.

Matza balls came out perfect & were quite good. Box contained 2 pouches/packs. Only used 1 pack and it made 10 Matza balls. So easy! And tasty!

You would never know this is gluten-free--it is delicious, easy to make, great texture and taste--a real winner for us that must eat a gluten-free diet. I already bought another set of three boxes after tasting it once--never want to run out!!

I was very disappointed in this product. Within moments of dropping the prepared mix into the water it began disintegrating. Out of the 10 or so I prepared ( made a double batch) only one “survived”. If following the directions on the back of a box result in an inconsistent product….fix the product or don’t sell it!And this stuff has ZERO flavor.
