Does this knife have brass in the handle? like is there a brass ring inside the lanyard hole? i watched a review on this knife on youtube i think.

Eddie, sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but I am a school teacher and have been grappling with distance learning on by work computer and have not looked at my home computer much. I do own a BPS2FTS. For the money the knife can't be beat. The knife has steel screws holding the walnut scales on, but no brass in the lanyard hole. The hole is very cleanly finished and brass would not be necessary. Those steel TORX screws would also allow you to make your own scales if desired. The knife is mirror finished with a true "scandi" grind. For the price, this is an great product. I have 75 or more knives in my collection and know a good product when I see it. I have already used it to split wood and it worked fine, coming out with just a few scratches. I am an avid camper and use my knives. That's probably more than you wanted to know, but I hope it helps.

Will the blade throw sparks when struck with flint? Im not sure if there is enough carbon for that.

It's not carbon content that would need the spark, it is the amount of iron.
