Amazon Grocery, Thousand Island Dressing, 16 Fl Oz

I picked up Amazon Grocery Thousand Island Dressing on a whim for salads and it has quickly become my absolute favorite version of this classic. Hands down it is really good and tastes great every single time. The flavor is spot on: perfectly balanced creamy tangy sweetness with just the right amount of pickle relish tomato notes and subtle spices. It is not too sweet not too vinegary and not overly thick or runny it coats lettuce beautifully without making everything soggy. I have used it on simple garden salads chopped salads with veggies and even as a dip or topping for grilled chicken breasts tenders or nuggets. On chicken it adds that craveable creamy tangy kick that makes basic grilled meat feel like a restaurant dish. It works so well in wraps burgers or as a sandwich spread too. Compared to other Thousand Island dressings I have tried from big brands or store brands this Amazon Grocery one stands out for consistent great taste and quality. Some competitors can taste artificial overly sweet or have weird aftertastes but this one feels fresh homemade like with real ingredients and no off notes. It is a reliable winner whether I am eating light salads or using it to jazz up proteins.

IDK how they did it, or why they chose the name Happy Belly (come on, that's a weird name, people), but I've never tasted a Thousand Island salad dressing from a bottle that tastes ALMOST like restaurant. Seriously, this is really great tasting Thousand Island dressing. It has a little bit of a sharp tangy taste to it, instead of the more subtle tangy taste that restaurants serve but it is still fabulous on a salad. My mom worked at a ritzy diner in Carmel, CA circa late 1940-1950. Most restaurants than, and probably some still do now, make their dressings from scratch. They prob have pre-measured ingredients now but my mom learned how to make Thousand Island dressing using materials from the kitchen. Mom's Thousand Island and Ranch is what I grew up on and as far as I'm concerned, her dressings are the OG BOMB! But Mom is gone now and my jerks of bros threw away all her cookbooks when cleaning out her house. I started crying when the jerks told me that - she had cookbooks going back to the 40's. All the family favorites that she cooked over the years were in those cookbooks, either scribbled in the margins or printed in the book.....lost now.....brothers can be such jerks. So I will have to be content with Happy Belly salad dressing........seriously, Happy Belly???

I buy lots of Amazon brand, but this time I am very dissapointed. This Thousand Island has an alright flavor, it is way too runny! It make my hamburger bun soggy!

The flavor is well balanced — creamy with just the right amount of seasoning.
