Works great as a toddler potty watch- changed our lives!! No more wet pants, less laundry, and happier kid, parents and teacher
My 3 1/2 year old son potty trained at age 3, then about 60 days later started having accidents. Sometimes once a day, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. When went to the pediatrician, and checked for UTI, but he was fine. We tried prizes, rewards like watching his favorite tv show, etc. We went back to the pediatrician, and the doctor said he was holding it, and he said he wasn't that he just 'forgot to go' or was 'busy playing' or 'didn't have to go'. We reminded him to go and he continued having accidents. He cried and said "I try NOT to have accidents but it comes out too fast". We wondered if there was a problem and he simply couldn't hold it too, because sometimes he'd have an accident 15 minutes after going to the restroom. The pediatrician then suggested physical therapy to develop pelvic floor muscles. It was stressful, and for 6 months my son, myself, my husband, day care and preschool providers were all stressed, disappointed, and tired of changing clothing all of the time. The amount of laundry I was doing was endless, and I was physically and emotionally exhausted. It's so hard when you want to 'fix things' for your kid and can't. I also worried about my son's emotional well being. He seemed so sad when he wet his pants and I know he could sense everyone's disappointment. I looked at potty watches which had poor reviews for being cheap and breaking and not being water resistant. Then I looked at this watch. This watch seemed expensive, but physical therapy was going to cost $30 a visit and at 2 to 3 visits a week that was going to add up quick and I still wasn't sure that was the problem. I finally decided to try this watch- the worry I was feeling, and the sadness my son was feeling was just too much and I had to try something. My son was excited when we got it. He showed it to everyone including teachers, classmates, friends, and strangers and told them about his 'potty watch' which told him 'when to go potty.' I had programmed it to vibrate in 45 minute increments throughout the day using the 12 alarms so that it would not go off between 1-3 during his nap. (ex. 7:25am, 8:10am, 8:55am, 9:40am, 10:25am, 11:10am, 11:25am, 12:10pm, 12:55pm, then skip 2 hours for nap, then 3:05PM, 3:50pm, 4:35pm, and 5:20pm.) Then when I pick him up from preschool I turn on the timer function which is set to go off every 45 minutes. It does this until we take it off before bedtime and at that time I turn the timer off and he sleeps and we start over in the morning. The watch is slightly big for a 3 year old but it doesn't fall off. It has been durable enough to withstand the playground and is splash resistant enough to survive lots of hand washing in the sink. It has 12 programmable alarms, a timer function that counts down and then vibrates or sounds and then repeats (i.e. if you set it to 45 minutes it will count down and go off every 45 minutes). The timer function allows you to set alarms from 1 minute to 23 hours and 59 minutes apart. You can set it to sound or vibrate or both. Once setting it you can 'lock' the keys so you don't bump them and change the settings by pushing both the bottom buttons (1 left and 1 right) at the same time. Pressing the two top buttons (1 left and 1 right) shows the date. Besides date and time, it also shows seconds while on the countdown 'timer' screen and also on the 'clock' screen. It was annoying to learn how to program it but once I did, it's not that hard. It doesn't keep any memory if you take out/change the battery so you would have to do it all over again. We have not used up a battery yet.He has not had any accidents for the last 2 months while wearing the watch. Sometimes in the evenings or on the weekends he has told me "I don't want to wear the watch, I want to listen to my body" and when I have let him go without the watch he has had accidents. I'm not sure why he doesn't go when he feels it, or if he doesn't feel it, or what is going on, but I know this watch has fixed the problem for now. I'm sure as he gets older he will figure it out or develop muscles to hold it or whatever needs to happen, but I'm glad and I'm sure his preschool teachers are glad to not have to change clothing. I have also seen an improvement in his self esteem because I know he felt bad every time he wet his pants. I don't know if this will work for everyone else, but it was worth what I paid for it and more, and I'm really glad I found it.

Will not stand up to typical kid activities
Well, it lasted slightly longer than the other brand (about 3 1/2 weeks). Had some success with this watch after a couple of the WobL watches succumbed to a watery death. The VibraLITE MINI potty watch worked as advertised though it is a pain to program. The rubbery wristband pinched and was not as comfortable for my 5-year-old as the nylon velcro of the WobL. The VibraLITE seemed to be more water-resistant than the WobL as it survived a couple quick dips in the tub (as was immediately removed and placed in a bag of uncooked rice). HOWEVER, the VibraLITE suddenly stopped working (screen went blank) last week. Not sure what happened because my son was at school (part of the band went missing, too). He is not easy on anything (toys, clothes, his little brother) so I wouldn't be surprised if he banged it really hard on something, but this is supposed to be a WATCH FOR KIDS so I expect it to stand up to some abuse. When will a watch manufacturer make a potty watch for kids that is actually designed to take some abuse (and water)? HELP!

Almost great, but fatally flawed
My almost-5-yr-old recently started kindergarten and the new routine has severely impacted her potty training. In preschool, she was fine, but with the new schedule she has been peeing her pants daily. I bought this watch to help remind her to potty. In three days of use so far, it has worked perfectly once. For that reason, it warrants at least three stars. If it weren't for one fatal flaw, I would give it five stars. The fatal flaw is an on-off feature that involves pressing all four buttons simultaneously. There is also a poorly designed lock feature that requires pressing two buttons simultaneously. There probably isn't a 4/5 year-old alive who can resist pressing buttons and it is completely natural for them to press all or some of the buttons at the same time. Whoever designed this watch obviously was not targeting children. It can't help remind her to potty if it is off. Also, to add insult to injury, I have to completely reprogram it every time I turn it back on. Since I'm using 6 different alarms, it is quite a bit of extra setup and very annoying.

Great But
I bought this for my 8 year old mainly for his Diabetes on 2 hour food timing. Two things I found issues with were the directions and battery life. The timers took me a while to set up, 40 min to be exact so don't expect it to be easy. The battery only lasted 2 weeks and I only set it for alarm not vibrate.Update: After I replaced the batteries it still does not work.

Great watch with one major flaw...
Wonderful little watch with lots of great features. My son gets lots of compliments on his cool rainbow watch. HOWEVER... one major major flaw of this thing is that the "lock out" feature is a bit of a joke. My three year old figured out how to disable it on day one. Kids love buttons and they are smart, so pushing two buttons at the same time is not a very effective way to keep your preschooler from reprogramming their timers on accident. Also, for added fun, if they happen to experiment with pushing all four buttons at the same time they can do a complete factory reset on the watch... which was 30 minutes of my life that I'll never get back fixing it. The company should definitely make a change to a sequence of button commands to wipe the device. So bottom line, I would totally recommend to anyone who's child is less impulsive than mine. As for those curious little future scientists, be prepared to have some extra patience with this one!
