An excellent murder mystery!
For someone who usually sees mysteries solved in a one hour tv show (including commercials), I was pleased to read a well organized, authentic tale of justice almost denied. I found myself totally captivated by the characters, the plot and the historic authenticity that the author invested in a book I literally could not put down .. even if it took more than one hour to solve.Should the characters be part of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice? I'm sure I am showing some limitation but I probably would not have read this book if it didn't have the P&P connection. Ms. Jeffers continued the story of Darcy and Elizabeth and showed them five years into their marriage. I'm pleased to say that I enjoyed meeting their two year old son, who claimed a bit of the overall story to himself. Georgiana was there, having married Darcy's cousin, war hero Major General Fitzwilliam. Fitzwilliam's parents also added their bit.Regardless, it is a good mystery without the P&P family. I just don't read that many mysteries. Despite this personal limitation of mine, the plot is well organized. Furthermore, just when you think you've solved the mystery, you'll be wrong and have to rethink the details. This will happen more than once.On the matter of authenticity, I would bet the farm on anything written by Regina Jeffers. She is a thorough and painstaking researcher. She regularly publishes articles on a wide variety of English topics, ranging from the historic value of the British pound, fashions, military history and more. I felt completely confident of the history and culture woven into the story.I absolutely recommend this book to you. If you're a big mystery fan who doesn't know the Pride and Prejudice side, you'll still be reading a first rate mystery. If you're a fan of Jane Austen, welcome to the world of life turned upside down by unsolved mysteries. It will take more than one hour, but I know that I couldn't put it down!

The Persecution of Mr. Darcy's Cousin: A Pride and Prejudice Variation
I loved the plot. It was interesting, exciting and so much family togetherness of which Darcy is famous for the devotion he shows. This novel is one that you find you don't want to put down once you start reading it. There is suspense that is well written and shows the goodness of Darcy and the weakness of Georgianna along with the spunk of Elizabeth. This is one of the best suspense novels I have read in a long time and one of the best P & P variations I have read and have read over 200.My hat goes off to Regina Jeffers to a well written and informative novel. Before closing, I do enjoy reading about the children in these families and loved the part of Bennet Darcy in this story.

5 Stars for this Pride and Prejudice Mystery...
I really enjoyed reading this book and was surprised by the twists and turns in the plot... The historical perspective was captivating and the Darcy family and their relationships were well-balanced throughout the book...sweet dialogue and the adorable Bennett Darcy made it an even better read!

A real page turner!
Based on historical happenings skillfully wrapped in the P&P world, this is one of the best variations I have read and I have read many, perhaps most excluding the terribly torid ones. My recommendation is that you save this book until you have a goodly block of time to read it through. Gripping plot!

Excellent!!!
I loved this wonderfully executed variation or rather continuation of P & P. It is well written and interesting. I don't care for vagaries that unite Georgina with Fitzwilliam. I find it uncomfortable since he was a guardian and cousin (even if it was accepted during that time period). Even so, Lizzy & Darcy's love does not disappoint. Now I have to get over my prejudice and read book one.

Another great book!
Another great book on the series. If you have read other books by Regina Jeffers you will not be disappointed. A great story of intrigue and love as this story takes you on the journey of finding out who did it. I love mysteries, those that include the Darcy's are even better! The description of the book is enough to give you the basics. The journey this story took me had me not wanting to put the book down.

This was an enjoyable book. It kept me in suspense throughout! I liked the length as there was time to develop the story and characters. The only thing I didn't like was Georgiana, I thought she was immature and whiney, though it didn't stop me from enjoying the book. I would definitely enjoy additional books in this series

Don't miss this one!
I loved this book! Finally there is a book beyond the wedding that includes being the parents of two small children. This mystery had me staying up way too late at night. I hope you will continue to write about this "little family." Thank you Regina Jeffers!
