BaseQiAluminum Dust Plugs (iHUT) for MacBook Pro Retina 13" & 15"

Just got these and installed in my Macbook Pro Retina. I had been looking off and on for dust plugs that weren't a different color or ones that stuck out like you see the bluetooth dongle in the attached picture. I found these a few weeks ago and they seemed perfect, except for what I consider a relatively high price for what little they are. Couldn't find anything better so I bought a set of these.The fit is really good overall; the HDMI and USB plugs are pretty snug, not so much that it's a problem getting them in and out though. However, the lightning port plugs don't fit as snug as the USB/HDMI, but they do appear to be able to stay in. I don't really manhandle my computer much so I don't anticipate any problems with them falling out but it's still a small concern when I travel and put my computer in my backpack. I'll post an update if I end up having problems with them like other reviewers have. Additionally, they come with 6 extra rubber bands which would replace the existing ones as shown in the product picture.I took off one star for them being a bit pricey and not coming with a SD card slot plug in this package and perhaps a dust cover for the magsafe power port and the headphone port. This company does sell a separate SD plug though, so I understand the business aspect and wanting to make money.Overall, very happy with the product and the seamless look it provides while preventing dust from getting in the ports, as of day 1.

They really are nifty and will most definitely prevent dust and dirt from getting into the ports. That said, they are a bit difficult to remove— be prepared to wreck your nails. And they’re just outright expensive for what amounts to about a tenth of an ounce of aluminum. But only the best for my Macbook, right? Oh— and be sure to have a way to NOT lose them when you remove one. Overall, glad I got them.

This set of plugs comes in a small bag. Inside were these 5 plugs. The aluminium finish on the plugs closely matches the color of my MacBook and fit PERFECTLY. Before fully inserting them though, make sure the small black rubber seals on the plugs are centered in the groove/space that they fit in. You'll understand once you see it. These need to be centered so that the plug will stay in place.Unfortunately, this set doesn't come with the SD card slot port cover. There's another company that sells a micro sd card adapter that sits flush with the side of your MacBook, also with an aluminium finish.I like these type of plugs better than the cheap rubber ones. Those tend to fall out and get lost. These are a lot more expensive, but to me it completes the look of the MacBook. It's the perfect blend of style and function. if you're willing to spend a little extra, this could be a nice addition to your computer.

Both thunder port plugs do not sit flush I had to apply small strips of electrical tape3. The price is disgusting on 2 problems only 1 if you going to charge a premium for a item should work flawlessly out the box if you didn’t care about quality of the craftsmanship then should add the SD cardAnd yes you do take a gamble buying hand made items But I will “buy agen” this is the only company that makes these type of dust coverLast thought I call this Purchase Acceptable not the best but okay why because they don’t fallout like some people were complaining about 2 all of the other dust covers sit Flash

These things are awesome. I've gotten several compliments on them, mostly from people who see them and are interested in why my ports are all plugged up lol.I'd 5 stars this product if it wasn't so expensive. Honestly, they're just tiny little plugs... The price is kinda ridiculous when you get them and realize you just paid 30 bucks for less than a gram of machined aluminum and rubber. Especially since I can pretty much guarantee you'll loose a few...

The HDMI and lightning plugs fit great. The usb plugs protrude slightly, but it's so much better than anything else I could find. I just wish the usb plugs fit a little better for the price.

BASEQI Aluminum Dust Plugs (iHUT) for MacBook Pro Retina 13" & 15" not bad. sits flushed with the ports. texture and colour is similar with the mac book.comes with extra tiny black rubber bands. only down side is the usb ports is not as snugged fitting as the other ports. other than that its a excellent item. its too expensive for 5 little aluminum plug. hence 4 star.

The finish on these dust covers is slightly more metallic than what you get from Apple. If you were wondering, these covers from BASEQI match with their line of sd card readers. So, the consistency is there. I think these should be great with protecting against dust and light rain. I have yet to find a similar solution with the same quality for the magsafe2 and headphone port.In conclusion, it's a wise investment if you want to keep the functionality of the ports on your macbook in a dirty environment.P.S. I haven't seen this level of precision for an accessory on any other laptop model.

以前はゴム製のダストカバーを使ってましたが、凹凸が多い為すぐ外れるし、見た目も安っぽかった。この製品に変えてからは凹凸が無いので外れる事もなく、見た目も綺麗になりました。この価格なので、悪く無いです。ただSDスロット用とｲﾔﾎﾝｼﾞｬｯｸ部分が無いのでそこだけ残念です。

All fit snug into the proper ports and the rubber gaskets make a nice dust proof seal with the MacBook while also giving just enough tension that they don't feel like they are going to fall out. The aluminum also matches well with the case of the MacBook. The only small problem is with pulling them out, they are slightly more difficult to get out if you don't have fingernails (which I usually don't) so while it is annoying it isn't a major problem and wouldn't stop me from recommending them to anyone else.

Fit perfectly in the MacBook Pro. A little pricey but still happy with the purchase

見た目に関して、とても良いです。他のプラスチック製ポートカバーに比べるとかなりいいです。取り外しはしにくいですが、ポートをほぼほぼ使用しない方などには問題なく使えるかと思います。気になってしまった点としては2点ほど。装着する際にラバー部分が噛んでうまく入らない場合や、はみ出たりしてしまう場合があります。見た目が良い分ダサく感じてしまいます。まぁ、取り外して噛んではみ出た部分をカッターなどで削り入れ直せばなんとかなりますが。もう1点はRetina専用であること。この値段であればAirにも対応してほしかったです。ちなみに装着はできます、ですがUSBは若干収まりきっていません。それでも他のポートカバーに比べれば全然良い商品だと思いますが。ちなみにThunderboltは全く問題なく使用できます。
