great, but not for my dog.
I purchased this item for my teacup chihuahua (and yes I measured him). They were shipped and arrived promptly so I was pleased with that.I have purchased items similar to this in the past (for the same dog) that had an "overall" look to them (I won't name the brand in case that's not allowed). This brand was much more expensive (30-45 for 1 pair) and took 2-3 months to arrive!!! They were poorly made & a pain to put on the dog.Perk 1: fast shipping & deliveryPerk 2: sturdy garment, definitely appears that it would/will hold up for quite some time. Velcro strip is wide and holds in place quite well (even after problem 2 the Velcro was still in place LOL).Problem 1: the sizes seem to run a little big, I should have probably ordered a size smaller than I did, but figured if I purchase a thicker pad to put in it that it would be okay (the thicker ones are cheaper anyway).Problem 2: he was able to wiggle out of this item within 5 minutes by rubbing his sides against the couch. I thought perhaps I didn't have it on correctly or that it needed tightening, so I adjusted and put it back on making sure the Velcro was secure three more times... Each time he was able to escape the garment... I'm fairly certain my other dogs were cheering him on as they all sat in a semi-circle around him and watched. This product may work well for your pet, but this little guy is an escape artist and I have yet to find any garments that he can't get off (including sweaters and the like). He's been this way since he was a small puppy (he's 4 years old now). I wish that I had another male to try these with but my other dogs are females and don't have an issue with marking. I am not throwing them out, I put them in his "drawer" with all the other clothes he refuses to wear. Perhaps when we get another male they will work.

I'm so glad I found these!
I have a Yorkie who was running around the house marking everything that was standing still! I was ready to pull my hair out until I found these! The marking had been an occasional problem before but gradually began to happen more and more. I have to admit that I did not want to be one of "those people" who put their dogs in "diapers". My guy is potty trained so he regularly went outside to relieve himself and the marking was a separate issue entirely. Almost from the moment we put this belt on, the problem was solved! He did lift his leg a couple of times and then decided that he didn't like wetting the belt. He wasn't too keen on wearing it at first, but he has become accustomed to it now and hardly notices it.The only reason I gave this item 4 stars instead of 5 is that I have noticed that the velcro is not sticking as well as it used to at the beginning. I wash these belts regularly, by hand, as I worried that the washing machine might affect them. Worst case scenario is that I will have to buy more (I originally bought the 3-pack so that I would have extra in case one got wet). But they are well worth the price! I highly recommend them.

GREAT SOLUTION
This is a great way to help your pet make it thru the day. I got this for my 3 year old Boston Terrier. I found this is was abandon on the side of the road...apparently because they couldn't housebreak him.I got a great dog with a potty problem..this belt has helped so much. He doesn't spend all day in his cage while I work. I don't come home to messes and and our evenings now start out on a much better note. The Velcro is about 3 inches on each side which leaves plenty of room for adjustment. The "Simple Solutions" male wrap available at petco for $23.00, has an absorbent micro fiber pad in it. This one does not. I own both the one from pet co and the tinkle belt. The tinkle belt fits better, washes nicer and my dog doesn't pee in it. It has the same effect as kennel training, its comfortable and he leaves it on. The Simple Solution, although it has the pad...still leaks. Both of these products would need a liner (people say to use a maxi pad or a depends for humans) if your dog is older or has medical problems and can't control their bladders. I however have a boy dog that wasn't trained was marking...this works great

EXCELLENT!
I have two male chihuahuas - the older boy got decidedly territorial when I brought his little brother home to stay. Although I am very good at training (they are both indoor trained to potty on a pee pad), and I have reduced the frequency of his marking, I still get a pleasant surprise about once a week in one of his favorite "spots" - I guess to let both me and Niko (younger chihuahua) know that he is the real king of the castle!I at first tried what was sold in my local PetSmart, which is Simple Solutions. However, the elastic that is contained around the wrap left awful marks around my poor Polo's (the older chihuahua) mid-section, and no amount of training or admonishment is worth permanent scarring! So I decided to give these Tinkle Belts a try, and I have to say I am sooooo glad that I did! Awesome design, and brava to the designer!! You would think that it would be intuitive for the "mass-produced" male wrap manufacturers to have figured out how a male dog is built -- other wraps just bunch up and leave the, um, "trigger" exposed. Or worse, they fall off! These are designed to fit around the dog's slender waist, yet give extra material protection on the side that is actually doing the absorbing! Slender on top + wider underneath = a design and belt that actually does what it is supposed to do... and here's the kicker -- no elastic (so no marks), but the velcro keeps the belt FIRMLY in place (my Polo, darling that he is, will just look at me with those angelic eyes as though nothing has happened with the male wrap lying on the floor beside him!).I am ordering more. This is a great price and an EXCELLENT product!UPDATE: Jan. 5, 2013: I stand by my review because it is a good product. However, the dye runs when you wash them, so I suggest that you soak them in a soaking bin separately from your laundry so that your clothes aren't ruined.
