This showed up on my Daily Deals feed since my Gen4 is in my Amazon Garage; and I love my Gen4 so I got it as well as the Chilton. I try to have paper and ink wiring diagrams of my vehicles for when there isn't internet access. Besides, they look good in the ManCave.I got both books used for the cost of one new. "Condition: Used - Good - This Book is in Good Condition. Used Copy With Light Amount of Wear. 100% Guaranteed." This seller, like almost all online book sellers, under-promises and over delivers. It looked like someone had thumbed through it once or twice and that was it. No brake dust, no grease, no mustard or ketchup. The pages have yellowed, but it is printed on pulp paper which does that over time and is to be expected. Arrived in a timely manner. Seller gets five stars.The deeper you get into a specific vehicle, the more you notice the gaps in both Haynes and Chilton. They both help you tinker, but are not the factory service manuals, and are not the tribal wisdom of the forums such as FirebirdNation. Some examples:Neither Haynes nor Chilton tell of the way to get the headrests off the front seats if you want to put seat covers on. (It is a convoluted pita, and you'll probably just take a pass on that and end up cutting a hole in the top of the seat back cover and velcro it back together.)Neither Haynes nor Chilton tell how to replace the headlamp motors or how to even gain access to that tucked away third way-back nut and bolt. (It requires YouTube or AllData and voodoo.)Neither Haynes nor Chilton tell you the trick to make easier work of the - not if, but when - you need to replace the fuel pump without having to drop the gas tank. (It requires reading the FirebirdNation forums that will tell you exactly where and what size to cut a trap door in the trunk platform just behind the rear seats. That advice came in very handy when the factory new "upgrade performance" fuel pump needed to be tinkered with the next day after installation.) Bonus hint: peek inside the new fuel pump before installation and make sure Nimrod at the factory didn't forget to put the internal hose on its nip.[Three strikes, and it gets four stars.]If you like your vehicle and want to keep it around, you'll want one of these (or both).

My dad told me that every time I buy a vehicle I should get the Haynes for it. These manuals are so detailed and you can do just about everything in it providing you have the equipment to do it with. It also has interesting information about what the vehicle came with and all the specs. I've never heard anyone say that buying one of these was a mistake.

This book has paid for itself many times over, most jobs can be handled with basic tools ans about an hour. One example, some garage wanted $150-200 to replace water pump. I got the part from Advanced auto for $30 after 1 hour and about 10 bolts it was on, no leaks and car does not overheat anymore. Thanks

Exactly what I needed to gain the knowledge on how to repair my car... but it was a shame that the bit I read about the part I needed to fix said "Take you car to a garage to get this fixed by a professional".

Man sollte English können und etwas von der Technik verstehen,dann kopiert man sich die benötigten Seiten (zur Schonug des Buches) etwas zu Trinken, schöne Musik, die passende Garage und man kann dann loslegen und es klappt auch nach der Beschreibung bis jetzt immer wieder.
