These saved my fruit trees.
I ordered these because we were expecting a freeze and I had just planted my fruit trees (within the week). I believe it saved them. We were below freezing for about 31 hours the lowest temperature being 17 degrees. The main tree is my meyer lemon tree, which had actually been more established and planted for a few years. I believe a few factors need to be taken into consideration before you say these do not work. The overall cold hardiness of the tree/plant being covered and how established that plant is and the temperature. I am pleased how well these worked for the unusual situation we had. Some of my trees were taller so the bottoms were still exposed so I wrapped them.

Just wishing now that I had just used burlap.

Quality product, good protection
Easy to cover, nice and big. Using for roses. First time I’m not cutting back my taller roses, so I’m anxious to see how well they protect through the Wisconsin winter.

Be careful of insect infestation if you leave the cover on the plant for too long.
I have many Ficus Benjamin plants that live outdoors. Even in California the winter nights, and sometimes the days are too cold and windy for many of my container plants. I cover the delicate plants that are outdoors in the winter. I covered a large ficus, and as it was large it was difficult to uncover. When uncovered in spring, I found that some insects had gotten into the cover, and had infested one of my trees. They had free rein in the cover, and have devastated the tree. I would advise cutting a slit in the cover if it is on a big tree, so you can open it for circulation and ventilation, and closing with clothes pins to protect the plant in inclement weather.

Very easy to use
These are so worth it. I covered my young fruit plants with these in November and left them on until February. I live in a warmer climate but it was getting very cold below 32 degrees and I would be away during the holidays. When I took them off my little tree looked very happy. I am very grateful for these easy to use covers. The drawstrings worked very well. I guess sunlight really did filter through seeing that the plants are still alive after all that time being covered.

Hasn't met a central Ner York winter yet!
Items got here quick. They seem fairly hardy. I plan to use them to cover my cherry bushes this winter. I'll update my review in the spring!
