- KEEPER: A Second Chance Standalone Romance (Broody Bad Boys - Silo Springs Standalones)

Harloe Rae has done it yet again! She has written a story that tugs at your heart strings and makes you feel all of the feels. ALL OF THE FEELS! I had chills and I mean full body chills when I read the ending of this amazing story. It was absolutely perfect. I simply adored Keeper. Honestly, this is my favorite story by Harloe Rae to date. I just wanted to keep reading more about Delaney and Decker. These two made my heart so full of giddiness and happiness. I also love the small town of Silo Springs. I’m pretty sure small town romances are my jam now. Oh, Delaney. I adore her character. I could not imagine waking up one day and not remembering a single thing about my past. She is so strong in dealing with all of that turmoil and chaos. She took things one day at a time and tried to make the best out of a really crummy situation. I admire her strength and courage. She didn’t have a family to rely on. She really only had herself, her social worker, and the friends she made along the way. Oh, and Decker and let me tell you, she definitely had Decker. Delaney had the chance to reinvent herself and be whoever she wanted to be. And she did that. She’s spunky, passionate, full of fire, kind, smart, compassionate, and so much more. I truly believe she is who she’s meant to be now. Her character was so refreshing to read about, even with all of her heartache and confusion about starting a new life with a blank slate. She’s definitely someone to look up to. I also love her wit and sass. It’s refreshing to see a female character simply be herself. Decker. Where do I even begin with this man? Whew! He had me swooning and rooting for him throughout the entire story. I love everything about his character. He is an alpha male with a soft heart. He loves the small town he lives in, the bar he helps run, his friends, and his family. He loves helping Delaney experience all of these new firsts (first date, first kiss, first love, and so much more). He shows her that living in a small town can still be one of the greatest adventures of a lifetime. You just need the right person to go on that adventure with. I didn’t know I could lust after a fictional character as much as I did with Decker. There is just something about a man in flannel with a sexy beard that gets to me. Swoon. Decker’s character honestly captivated me from the very beginning and I wanted to learn more about him. I love every second I spent reading his thoughts and feelings. Everyone needs a Decker in their life. Decker and Delaney’s chemistry is off the charts. And I mean OFF THE FREAKING CHARTS! Whew! I honestly thought I was going to combust as I was reading this story. The angst and fire between these two was almost too much to handle. It was freaking fantastic. I knew from the get go that the relationship between these two was not staying in the friend zone and I was so there for that. When they finally collided, it was pure fire and I loved everything single second of it! It’s so much more than their chemistry though. Decker truly did everything in his power to make Delaney feel at home. He wanted her to know that she was not alone in this fight. She may not remember anything about her past, but that doesn’t mean her future can’t be full of laughter, light, happiness, and love. God, these two own my heart completely. Their banter was hilarious and so fun to read. Everything about these two was fantastic. I’m game for more Delaney and Decker! The ending gave me goosebumps, it was so perfect. Decker and Delaney just might be my favorite Harloe couple yet! Overall, I give this story a 5/5! I loved every second of Keeper. This story is full of angst, scorching hot chemistry, humor, love and so much happiness I almost couldn’t handle it. Keeper is my favorite Harloe read. I cannot wait for the next read by her!

This had a completely different vibe than I was expecting! The cover and description make it sound like an intense and emotional read, but it's much more a story of starting over, second chances, and finding love when you least expect it. I'll admit that it took a little while to wrap my head around the storyline and get invested in the characters, but the writing is solid and the premise is interesting so it's definitely a worthwhile read. It's got some sexiness but also a slow burn, and features a somewhat reformed bad boy who finally gets his girl. The story follows Delaney, a young woman who wakes up with no memories and no one to help her understand how she got that way - or what kind of life she was leading before the amnesia. When an old classmate happens upon her in the hospital, Delaney clings to him like a lifeline. Decker is hesitant to get involved for his own reasons, but he can’t resist the woman who seems so alone in the world - especially since he had a huge crush on her growing up. He was trouble back then and never considered himself good enough for Delaney, but he becomes her rock as she begins to lead a whole new life. While this didn't grip me the way I would've liked, I enjoyed it all the way through. These two begin as friends and develop into more, though the attraction is there the whole time. I loved Decker and how patient he was with Delaney as she finds her way. The tone stays mostly light with touches of suspense, and a few sexy times along the way. Though it wasn't quite what I was hoping for, it's a solid read and I would not hesitate to read more from the author. I received an ARC via Candi Kane PR (then purchased it for my collection) and am voluntarily leaving a review of this sexy, second chance (at life and love) romance.

This is the definition of a classic romance story. The dark event that starts it off penetrates your heart. It’s an emotional beginning that tackles a hard subject. For me, I was drawn in. I was immediately giving all my focus to Harlo beautiful masterpiece. The element of friendship was so breathtaking in this story, and I love how it wasn’t drawn out. These characters knew what they wanted and took it. I lived on a permanent blissful high as I savored this story. I loved it so much I dragged it out teasing myself because I didn’t want it to end. I was also paranoid because this story was so happy I was waiting for Harlo to pull the rug out from under my shoes and when she did.... let’s just say my heart steel is not beating right. This story is has permanently marked me. Amazing read. Decker for the love of all hero’s he is my dream. Sexy smart mouth. Bad boy with a tender side that makes you swoon so hard you fall over. It usually takes me awhile to fall in love with a character, but not here. It was love at first read. I love his alpha protection instincts. I was in love with his inner monologue. Jesus, did I say I was in love with him, BECAUSE I AM. He has a way of making sweet words sound so primal that goes straight to your soul. I have never read a character like him. He’s so uniquely different from an alpha ever written. Seriously, the perfect book boyfriend. Delaney although her story has tragic dynamics, she is a war hero through it all. Her personality is radiant. Her spirit is beautiful. Her fight is exhilarating. Being in her head was fun. Relearning with her and trying to figure out the basics of life gave this story an unnerving element that I wasn’t sure I was going to like. And I didn’t, I loved it. Do yourself a favor and read this beautiful story. I’d give this book more then five stars if it was aloud.

I took long time to figure out how to score this book but I finally decided it’s a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I really liked the premise of the story but something was lacking for me. Dell & Decker are friends and of course, in time the chemistry was such a sizzle factor! Yet even if it’s a love story about them, I truly wanted to know more about their past as friends, old relationships, the mystery of the day she got attack besides the obvious as well the relationship with her mom. Just a little clarification on that part would make this book quite extraordinary...yet, that’s just my own opinion. Overall, this is my first time reading by this author, Harloe Rae & it wasn’t too bad. If you like...A man who are strong, but kind. Confident, but humble. Assertive, but at times gentle. Powerful, but tempered and calm....ALPHA MAN & the lady in distress?...no, a lady knows what she wants, I think this book is for you.

The author’s best work to date! You will fall completely in love with Decker and Delaney. This is a love story with elements of suspense that you won’t be able to put down...yet you won’t want it to end! A well-written second chance romance that brings you a slow burn that’s worth the wait and makes you believe in true love with the perfect happily ever after. Delaney was the unattainable dream girl. That’s how Decker always thought of her back in high school. And when she was forced to move away, Decker thought she was gone forever. A chance meeting reunites these high school acquaintances years later. The only thing is, Delaney has no memory of him. In fact, she has no past memories at all. But when Decker lets her know he used to know her, they strike up a friendship. It doesn’t take much for them to become close friends. Delaney has no one. Decker steps in to help her navigate through her new life. Delaney’s ignorance of all things we take for granted is both comic relief and endearing. She’s sweet and naive, but steadfast and strong. She takes on new challenges with enthusiasm and doesn’t shy away when situations become difficult. Decker was perfection. A hot and flirty bartender with a soft spot for the girl he crushed on. He’s not a man of many words or friends. He can’t help but let Delaney into his circle. She brings out his protective alpha side. Get the fan...it’s going to get HOT! I loved everything about this couple. Each was the other’s perfect complement. Their attraction sizzled right off the pages. And when the author hits us with a twist, I could not read fast enough to find out where she was taking us. Every new story the author writes includes unforgettable elements that make the story even more memorable. Wisdom of Worth offered insights to ponder and added to the overall storyline. This was a fantastic read with everything that makes for a great romance.

Not bad, but not 100 either. Maybe about a 98.5% I thought the characters were all right, I just wish it was a little more to it. For instance <spoiler>how can someone who was seriously beaten/hurt now with amnesia just be set free without even trying to find out what happened to that person or who did what to that person. There should be a serious investigation going on for that person</spoiler> I just felt that with the amnesia things that Delaney new and didn’t know were silly. To me if she had amnesia I just felt like she wouldn’t of know some of the things the way she did compared to something she didn’t know. I guess what I’m trying to say is if she didn’t know one thing then she wouldn’t of known another thing like she did Other than that the book was enjoyable. I guess I just wanted it to feel a little more real with how the amnesia side was written. <b><I> Wisdom of Worth #43: If luck offers up a winning streak, ride the wave without doubt. An electric hum buzzes from inside my bag. I begin digging for it, catching the glow off my cell’s screen. A notification waits for me there. I programmed Rose’s number into my phone earlier. I figured out how to send her a text earlier, a moment of sheer victory. I wanted to let her know about my trip to the mall with Decker. Another glance at my new lifeline has a furrow digging deep in my brow. Smiley faces and random symbols are all she responds with. What does an eggplant mixed with water splashes mean? I glance over at Decker. For some reason, asking him seems too invasive. This is a personal message meant to remain private, right? I decide to keep it that way, returning the favor to Rose with a bunch of nonsense shapes I find in the toolbar.</I></b>

This is absolutely beyond a doubt one of Harloe’s best books that i have read to date, and believe me I’ve read nearly all of them! This is truly one of her very incredibly slow burns to their HEA. I love how kind and patient Decker was with Dell, how he tends to her first in everything, even when he determined not to date her. They are just friends. Yeah right. Everything he does is for her, he makes sure that she is safe and happy at all times, even if it means that he is uncomfortable or unhappy about something, she comes first. In the end he realizes that he can no longer fight his feelings for Dell, and their relationship takes off. Through all their struggles and triumphs he is there to offer her anything she needs. And when tragedy strikes it is Deck who will come to her rescue. Harloe took a very unique and challenging subject and made it into an incredible love story. I was happy to finally read a book that the heroine of amnesia didn’t miraculously regain her memory. This book truly addresses what is was like for Dell to know that she would never have those memories again. She would have to learn about herself as a blank slate and be okay with living her life with no previous memories. Decker and Dell truly rose above all obstacles and not only survived together but thrived, fell in love and learned how to live again; together. It was a great book and i definitely recommend this all...

I loved this book. It was really so sweet. Although it had some suspense aspects and with what happened to Dell before. I really enjoyed how their relationship unfolded. He was the sweetest toughest bad boy ever. So caring and protective of her always. He never disrespected her even though he worked at a bar and woman wanted him. Once he was set of Delaney he was done for. He was the best man.

I finished this book in one go. Our hero makes every women swoon. Heroine is one brave women and their chemistry is out of the world ❤️

Loved this and want to read the rest in the series. A nice lightweight read. Recommended for a holiday read.

Ok, ok, ok.... So I've gone down the rabbit hole of Harloe Rae! I'm going through a binge and usually I'm a dark... TW dark reader. But I LOVE what I've read so far! Here we meet Dell and Deck. Dell has had an head injury and now has memory loss... She's in her old town and doesn't remember anyone or anything . Welcome Deck 😍 he remembers Dell and agreed to help her..... Sparks soon fly I loved that was focused on Dell life now rather than her past. I liked how she asked questions but that wasn't then taking up her growth in her now new-ish life. No OW drama Very little angst Friends 2 lovers Only complain't ... Most of the side characters have been given. A short story of there hour th via funnel for free... But wanted them.. I wanted a while series lol

Decker had a crush on Delaney growing up but she never noticed him and then she moved away. Fate brings them back together after something terrible happens to Dell and Decker sees her in the hospital. He agrees to help her through her amnesia and they become friends but their mutual attraction can only be kept at bay so long... Harloe Rae gives us two great characters with Decker and Delaney. Both of them going against stereotypes and feeling like real people you care about. A real pleasure to read.
