DÉBUT - Replacement Gasket and Filter for 6 Cup stovetop Espresso Coffee Makers

I bought a Stella Italian 6 cup moka pot on a visit to Italy sometime in the early 90's. I bought it because it was a thing of beauty and I also thought I'd use it. This was before the internet, and it did not come with instructions. I recall trying to use it once or twice, but did not know what I was doing--so I put it up to look at, but haven't used since... Fast forward to 2022. I'm working from home in my dining room and staring at that lovely pot on the shelf. I realize I can watch some youtube and figure it out! Excited to take up another covid kitchen project, I grabbed it off the shelf, brushed off the dust and took it apart. Alas, the little rubber gasket cracked apart in my hand. I did not realize at that point how hard it would be to find properly sized replacement gaskets. On the internet I discovered bad news--apparently the original Italian manufacturer went out of business around 2000. I wasn't sure that over 20 years later I would be able to find the correct parts. I tried a local Italian goods shop and found a near fit, which I had to use carefully or pressure would leak around the seal. I found a Canadian based coffee equipment supplier that claimed to have "Stella 6 cup gaskets". I ordered those. The outside diameter was fine but inside diameter too small for the filter screen. They didn't cost much but it was a waste of money and big disappointment. Some more searching on Amazon and I found Début, the company in Taiwan that is the new manufacturer/suppler of the Stella moka pot. They sell a pot identical to mine, which was favorably reviewed here on amazon. Based on that, I thought it was highly likely their gaskets would fit. I ordered the gasket/filter screen package for my 6 cup pot. Immediately after ordering, the seller contacted me to confirm I was ordering the correct item, since it is unique to this particular coffee pot. After I confirmed that I had the same pot that they now sell, the gaskets were promptly shipped. Even with global shipping and supply chain slowdowns, I got the package ahead of time. Package included a hand written thank you note from the seller along with a little extra gift (coffee scoop). I feel like I got very personal service from this seller...first to confirm the sale and then the follow through. I couldn't be happier. I had my first cup of properly prepared coffee this morning with the new gasket. If you need or want something that Début sells, I can highly recommend.

I was gifted a beautiful Italian-made Stella coffee pot many years ago. The factory closed following an earthquake but I had been able to source replacement gaskets from a company in Italy however, their supply was depleted, thus I was unable to use this lovely pot. I came across this company during an extensive online search. The measurements seemed right so I ordered. The company was excellent to deal with. They actually checked in with me to make sure I was ordering the correct size and I found out that they have the original molds from the Stella company in Italy! The order arrived very quickly. The gaskets fit perfectly. This pot had great sentimental value to me and I am so happy that I can once more use it.

Expresso maker works well but screens can get clogged. I should of purchased when I bought maker.

I had to ask a friend of mine in New York to receive the package and then she sent it to me. That was the only drawback. Since I bought the pot and it was over $100 for the pot I wanted to make sure I had replacement gasket and filter so I asked her to receive it for me. That was the only complaint other than that I'm sure it's a good fit for my espresso pot which is sold by the same company. I have not used the replacement yet since the pot is still new but I'm glad I have extra for when the other parts wear out.

Satisfied with the quality and availability of the replacement ring for the expreso coffee maker. It is not easy to find good quality expresso coffee makers that are well done in stainless steel and easy to clean. I am happy that Puerto Rico is included in the shipping list. Fast delivery considering its the other side of the world. The seller is very helpfull and willing to accomodate the client.

I’ve been looking for a replacement gasket for a 6-cup Stella stovetop espresso maker for a long time (bought the original in Italy and have struggled to find replacement parts). Finally found this and I’m so glad I did. The quality is great, it was shipped promptly, arrived quickly and, must importantly, it fits perfectly. Great customer service from the manufacturer. Will be reordering and checking out their other items.

I use my little coffee maker all the time and I have no problems with the replacement gasket.
