I absolutely LOVE this mat!!! Before I get started, I have to say I was so impressed with this mat, I ordered the large size (24 x 32) the very day I received this one.Never using a silicone mat before, I bought the smaller size (16 x 20) to try it. For the initial test run, I used it to knead pasta dough. Anyone that has made pasta by hand, knows that pasta dough requires time and serious elbow grease. This mat worked like a charm! The pasta didn't stick at all -- I hardly needed to add any flour. This particular size fits in a small counter space between my stove and the wall, so I was able to knead the dough right on the counter in this tight spot, with no mess, and for the first time -- no flour all over the floor! Before, I was using a 12 x 18 plastic cutting board to knead dough, and I was always adding flour and/or oil to keep the dough from sticking to the board. Also, when I was putting the pasta through the machine, I noticed the dough has such a smoother, more elastic consistency than usual. I was able to focus on kneading and creating a great final product, not focusing on minimizing the mess.The directions did say to clean it with boiling water before using it. Instead, I put in the sink with steaming hot water and dish soap and let it sit for a few minutes, and it worked just fine. I store it rolled up, and find the mat does not stick to itself.The mat in the pictures is the smaller size (Medium), and I found it plenty big enough to prepare ravioli. However, I was so impressed with how well this mat worked, I immediately ordered the largest size to cover the top of my portable butcher block island, which is 28 x 42. When using this mat, the cleanup is virtually non-existent. After use, just rinse it off in the sink, and it looks like new. No scrubbing required, unlike my old plastic cutting board.In closing, I love this mat, highly recommend it, and can't wait to try it out for making cookies and cinnamon rolls.Thank you for reading my review, and have a wonderful day!

I was so looking forward to receiving this mat, due to so many positive reviews. However, upon opening the product I discovered an insect imbedded in the silicon that I can move around with my fingernail. There is no way to get the insect out without ruining the mat and leaving little traces of legs or wings. This is disgusting, especially for something I am supposed to use for food.

Terrible! Don’t trust the markings! If you go by their starting line you will be ONE WHOLE INCH OFF! I was too disgusted to bother checking cm or anything else. I was measuring my handcrafted soap and wasted money ordering boxes based on this thoughtless design.

Update 6/27/19So, I’ve been using the mat continuously despite the previous problems and I’ve noticed that the dough doesn’t seem to stick to the mat anymore. I’m glad I didn’t throw it away last time out of frustration.————————————————-———-First ReviewI’ve used the mat for 4 times already and I just had the chance to review this product. I don’t know if I got a bad mat or what because the others have high reviews. My dough sticks to the mat every time. On my first use, I thought the problem was the dough. But after my 4th use? No, the mat really is not that non-stick. It is a thin, flimsy mat and it doesn’t stay put on the surface. I’m not buying this again.

It arrived on a Sunday! Very unexpected, but very fortunate since the dough for my cinnamon rolls was already in the proofing stage. I was getting tired of cleaning my dining table and wrapping it with plastic wrap to roll out the dough. A little flour on the mat and it rolled up very easy. Even used a roller pizza cutter to cut the rolls instead of sliding dental floss under the long roll to cut it. No cuts in the mat. Today I shaped my pizza dough on it. Again, very little flour on the surface and it flattened and lifted off easily. Clings and doesn't move from the surface.The only difficulty I had was the instructions said to boil the mat for 1 minute before using it the first time to sterilize it. The only thing I had that was close to it's size was my turkey roasting pan. It was long enough, but not wide enough. Had to jiggle it around a bit in a folded position to do it. Also, washing and drying it is a bit difficult due to its size. Neither issue is the products fault. It is what it is and the size of it is necessary to do what it is meant to do.Bonus was I didn't read the description very well and it is oven proof to 425.If needed, I would buy another.

The product works as indicated but i was very disappointed in its thickness. I have no way to determine if it really is .6mm as claimed, but this is why i chose this mat. I had borrowed a really thick pastry mat from a friend and I liked it so much that i decided to buy one for myself. Hence, the thickness of the pastry mat was 8mportant to me.Anyway, i will keep this as i have already used it, but, for those looking for a nice thick mat, this is not it. This is why it is rated 3stars.

I purchased this because I bake gluten free and am always needing to use wax paper. This was larger than I thought and I really like the measurements, temperature and conversion charts that are right on the mat. I like that it's easy to clean up and store, I just roll up and store in my cabinet. I like that it's not paper thin and it stays in place while I am using. This is excellent for my gluten free baking and so far I really like it.

I truly wanted to love this product, but I had so much trouble using it. I consider myself a very good baker, however, I’ve never made pie crusts or short crust before, so I decided to try a recipe. I ordered this mat in preparation. I can’t blame the mat completely, since I’m new to rolling dough, but the dough stuck terribly. I could hardly get it off the mat. I also had trouble getting it off of a wooden rolling pin, so it obviously has something to do with the dough I made. I do love how thin the mat is and how flat and stationary it is on my counter. Also , it cleans so easily. I will keep experimenting!

Nice product

I used the mat a couple times so far. It provides a plenty of rolling surface with printed dimensions to roll the dough to fit the size of your cooking plate. It looks more sturdy than my previous mat. Only time will tell the durability...

I do not like this product. It is certainly not thick as described. Not easy to clean the greasy surface no matter how much dish detergent applied. I shall simply throw it away; not worth the money to return the item.

It saves the counter, easy to roll on with rolling pin, the round circles sizes is nice for the different sizes for the pie crust
