Bought wrong type
My kitty is a cord chewers, it's the cold truth. I go through charging cords probably faster than most due to her chewing addiction. At first I used bitter apple and tobasco sauce, not a deterrent to her. Then the cable installer told me to use plastic water line tubing, the slicing that stuff long wise to get around the cords, caused lots of nicks to my fingers. I even tried plastic straws wrapped with duct tape, not flexible. Then the neoprene velcro wraps, to big and clumsy fir a single charge cords. Then the spiral cords wraps, pretty but time consuming to wrap each cords. So now I've been trying this mesh wrap, the pre- split works well. This stuff doesn't fit over the USB ends and it starts to un-weave easily.

Flexible basic protection for wiring
I used to protect wiring I ran inside my car. The 1/4" sleeving could accommodate 3 18AWG wires without being stretched or being loose. Just right. Feeding the wires through ~10' of sleeving was tricky at first, but you sort of scrunch and scoot the wire through. The ends like to fray even after a singe, so I taped them up which also secured the wire to the sleeving. You could have of course used heat shrink, and I thought it was supposed to come with some, but I didn't see much need to go out of my way for that. For basic abrasion protection of something that is already coated or sleeved, this is a great product. I would however not use as your only line of protection. It's woven and flexible so I expected it can easily be punctured or short if you run unprotected conductive material through it.

not very easy to use
haven't tested if it can survive my kitten's chewing yet. but so far I feel it's not very easy to install. The open end gets apart so easily and the plastic fibers hurt my finger when I handled it. I'll try the wrap version of cord protector next time instead of expandable ones.

Definitely chew-proof!
It's easy to put over cords - kind of works like those finger traps. My bunny has chewed through every other cord protector I've tried but this he doesn't even try!

Does what it says.
Product does protect cords from pets. But, you need duck tape to keep the ends from fraying.

Saved my electrical cords from Kitty.
Works like a charm. Kitties can't chew it. Excellent investment but I did need electrical tape for the ends because they Fray easily.

Don't buy if you need over 25' in one stretch
I bought two 100ft rolls of the 1/4" because I needed to make some sensor cables that run 25-50ft each. Unfortunately the 100ft roll, and I'd bet the 50ft roll, is made up of several 25ft stretches that are melted together instead of one long continuous piece! The splice point is melted closed so you can not continue to insert the wires beyond the splice. If all you will use this for is short runs, then it will probably do okay, as it seems to be nice stuff, but the splices are a deal breaker for me and I'm sure others.
