DR8000 Elasto-Gel Wound Dressing (Pack of 5)

I have a few patients who have very fragile skin. This type of bandage absorbs the erudite, prevents maceration, and helps the wound to heal quickly. I strongly recommend this product!

This is a great product. Keeps his bedsore from running on his diaper and keeps the wound clean and without smelling. Easy to change without peeling off his skin

I have been using these as a wound dressing for over a year for a chronic leg ulcer. I like that they are cushion like and absorb fairly well. They do not hurt the wound when removing and are pretty reasonably priced compared to other wound dressings.

Great for wounds that must be kept clean and moist (i.e. full or partial thickness wounds.) This dressing will cause surrounding healthy tissue to macerate. On very small areas such as a small child's fingers I would place the dressing (only) on the wound, lay a strip of Telfa around it, securing with micropore or transpore tape. Then, I wrap the finger and hand in a self-adherent cohesive bandage (Vet wrap is the same, but far less expensive,) but circulation must be monitored, closely. With the extra reinforcement the dressing will remain in place with much abuse.The only drawbacks are that the Elasto-Gel is thick and sometimes difficult to place on small areas, in creases or between fingers/toes. With such wound sites the dressing will shift and slide, so care must be taken to anchor the dressing and it will have to be changed more frequently.

Best price I've seen on a product that can't be beat. I use the dressing to shield a bony vulnerable spot against blisters from an ankle brace. I have no wound or drainage. But, nothing else works for me. Btw, I don't know what the shelf life is as a sterile wound care dressing but I have single pack I found after like ten years and it looked no different and didn't dry out.

I have been using this product for years. I am so glad to find a source where I can order it myself rather than going to the trouble of going through a home health care supply store. It works wonders in cushioning the area of my leg that has fragile skin from skin grafting.

the Doctors here, wanted to prescribe her silvadene(for burns) when my 97 year old G mother scraped her arm. I used the Elasto-Gel , changed it every 2-3 days and within 2 weeks, a wound the DR said would take months & months to heal, was healed.It did not tear or stick to the wound or her skin. I have a supply, just in case, and recommend it.

Excellent product. Literally a life saver for my mom who is confined to bed and developed bed sores. A combination of this product and Stimulen wound care gel healed the sores within a week. Great product!!!!!
