Great gravel tire
I bought this tire for my Trek Domane 5 AL when I changed it from my road bike to my gravel bike. I bought size 700x34. I used these tires on the spectacular Greenbrier River Trail this past August and they performed perfectly. Rolled well with plenty of grip and durability. Did 52 miles from Cass WV to Horrock Trail head in one day and plan to do the entire 78 miles this October. These are decent tires on asphalt as well. I highly recommend for someone converting an existing road bike into a gravel bike like me especially for rails to trails rides.

Great mixed terrain tires.
I bought the byway in 700x44 for my specialized awol. They roll fast and are quite surprising even on icey single track type trails. The do leak some sealant out the sidewalls like many other reviews have mentioned but after the sealed I haven’t added any sealant in 3 months. I think the only downside is that they seem to be wearing fast.

These tires are known to "sweat" at the sidewalls and they do not hold air!!
These tires leak at the sidewalls, I tried everything and could not get them to hold air when ridden. I went to a local/national bike shop and when I described the situation he knew I was talking about, WTB tires he also said they were notorious for "Sweating at the sidewall". So as you think what I may have done, or not, I taped the rim and no air leaked from there, I changed an put in sealant making sure the stuff was well mixed up, I pumped them up and left them for 4 days and they heald air, but when I rode them they did not last 10 miles. There is less than 100 miles on the tires, I went through several CO2 cartridges (and yes when I returned home I flushed out the CO2 out of the tire. When I submerged them the sidewall would just keep releasing air. I put on my old Maxxis tires and they worked from the start not leaking at all even after 4 hours of riding. I want my money back because they did not even get close to my expectations, and the reason for the delay is travel for 2.5 months but the tread looks new and like I said only has 50-100 miles on them.PS> this is not an issue with the seating of the bead, the leak is above the bead..

A nice tire but significantly narrower than the specification.
The tires installed and sealed up easily. They seem to be efficient and smooth rolling.Unfortunately they are noticeably narrower than the tires they replaced. The 700x40 tire measured 38mm wide. I was hoping to have the largest volume that the bike allows and these are noticeably smaller.Otherwise appears to be a good tire for mixed surface rides.

Not true tubeless (at least for me)
Happy with the tread - it's exactly what I wanted for my gravel bike ridden on mixed surfaces - but it's not really tubeless-compatible. When installed as a tubeless tire with Peaty's sealant and Muc-Off tubeless valves, it would hold enough pressure for a short ride, but then go rim-on-floor flat overnight. When hunting for a leak I found that air was seeping directly through the tan sidewall - I could watch each little patch of foam grow as air leaked out (the bubbles are not coming from the valve, any spoke nipple, or anywhere along the bead - only directly through the tan sidewall). I doubled the amount of sealant and allowed the tire to rest on each side overnight in the hopes that it would seal the sidewall, but it still leaks, and on closer monitoring I discovered it will lose 10 lbs of pressure in a 1-hr ride. I'd like to think this is a fluke - a one-off problem with this particular tire - but I had the same problem with the first Byway I bought at my local shop (I just really wanted matching tires front and back).tl;dr Good tread pattern for mixed-surface riding but don't expect it to actually be tubeless. WTF, WTB?

Tubeless tires
These ByWays are great tubeless tires. Fast on the straights and good grip on the turns.

Mala
The media could not be loaded. Empiezo por el único detalle que tuve con esta llanta byway 700x40. Me llevó unos 25 minutos montarla.Ahora bien:Asfalto 60psi... Actualizado. Mejor la cambié. Ponchada por salida. Mala llanta.

Excellent tire
Moving from road bike to a gravel bike I wanted something that could handle road and light trails. This tire rolls fast. It's surprised me how stable it was when taking corners at speed absolutely no slippage. Although could be an effect of running a lower tire pressure than on my road bike.Use Latex sealent for this. I made the mistake of using a non latex based sealant at first (first tubeless set up) and the tires leaked profusely out of the side walls. Popped the tires out cleaned and re-seated with orange seal and absolutely 0 issues. Definitely a must buy if you like to go fast.
