This was a very different story but extraordinary- the drawing of the tiny one being held by the enormous creature is beautiful- wish there was book 2- didn't want story to end

A gorgeous story of a beast transformed by love. I loved the writing here! I thought the story was very inventive and not just a beauty-and-the-beast rehash. A tiny blonde treasure falls into Daeron's pit and suddenly he is having feelings and remembering things that have been denied to him for years. The "tiny thing" has spirit and sputters indignantly when Daeron-beast discovers that he loves to lick and clean him all over. There is some slightly weird dub-con involving the beast's licking; it works within the place and time that they are at and is intended as a caring, tender gesture. This licking, oral desire carries through the story and forms the basis of some of the sex play between the two. I mention this because there is a scene of felching and some people are squicked out by that. I normally would be but, because of their earlier roles, it seemed somehow a logical extension of things. The story is a great combination of magical, loving, and sexy with a very nice writing style to back it up. This just happened to catch my eye while scanning Amazon and I tried it with KU--I immediately bought it for future rereads. I look forward to checking out some of her earlier works!

Pretty darn enjoyable.It's fantasy rather than what I'd call paranormal, with magic and mystery and a tender, blossoming love. It at times makes you feel sorrow, others intrigue, and then of course delight.I felt the end was a bit rushed but that may be because I would love to see more of this universe fleshed out, perhaps in a sequel. This would have made for an excellent trilogy and reminded me of the works of Yamila Abraham. She always delivers very well thought out worlds that leave you wanting more.I'd buy a sequel to this book in a heart beat.Highly recommended.

If you’re looking for pure smut here it is. This book was… different from my usual. I love a good monster book and I knew this was going to be a quick read but I wasn’t expecting this.I usually like more development for my characters even in shorts so I was missing that here. There wasn’t any banter because there really want any talking. Even during the sex scenes.It’s not a bad thing it was just unexpected. It was definitely hot. I’m just still processing. If you’re looking for an extremely smutty book then read this. It has high heat. But be warned of triggers. I’ll definitely check out more of this author.

An ugly monster trapped in a pit saves a young small boy tossed down into to his unforgiving pit of darkness. The monster falls for the boy and does everything in his power to protect the boy, who is totally terrified of the monster.

First of all, I have to say that I am a complete sucker for paranormal characters and monster stories. This book has a little bit of both. Although it's a novella in length, it actually manages to tell a pretty detailed story. I was really intrigued by the "monster" in this and little by little the author peels back the layers until you are left with ... Well, I'm not going to spoil the surprise but it's very well done and I was very happy with how the reveal went. There's definitely heat 🔥🔥🔥 and, while it's a little bit dubcon, at first, it actually fits into the parameters of the story and isn't skeezy or rape. The storyline moves along quickly and I found myself wishing for more, it's still a very satisfying read on its own. I will definitely be checking out other books by this author and I give it a solid 4 - 4.5* A surprising find!

What a wonderful fairytale...sigh...makes me want a dragon for my mate. This story starts out ugly,dark and gruesome until the "little thing" drops out of the sky and lifts the spirits of the monster and this reader. Hope, joy, laughter and love ooze from the pages and of course, in Amelita style, are infused with sex, perversion and total hotness. This is a true lesson in not judging a book by its cover, both monster and little thing. The characters are so lovable and the sappiness warms my heart and just makes me feel good....oh yeah...did I mention hotness, sex and perversion?? Another job well done Amelita. Thank you!

I enjoyed this book and the development of the story. It was awesome to see the transformation of the characters. I wish the story was longer and that we got to see their adventures across the globe.

I feel like I can't say much without giving spoilers. It is a short book, however, it has depth and a plot. My heart felt full at the end and I wanted to dive back in and read it again. If you haven't started this book it's a must. Put it on your list and get to it. This book is so worth it. It holds a special place in my heart!! Absolutely phenomenal. I can't wait to listen to the audio book!!

New to me author. What a journey and outcome. Beautifully written with a magical ending. Can’t wait to read more from Amelita.

The beauty and the beast in quite unconventional way… The beginning is a bit cruel but soon it gets funny and very steamy. And who doesn’t love dragons in love?

Prisoner starts off with a gruesome scene but soon turns into an adorable, sweet read with a giant who loves the little thing that his his only source of brightness in a dark world. Loved the characters and the story.

I love the evolution of their relationship and how the characters's feelings are described. This is one of my favourite stories by this author. <3
