MozaicQueen Size 12-inch Cotton Twill Futon Mattress, Blue

The mattress is heavy. It is described as a 12 inch mattress but is more like an 8 or 10 inch mattress. If you look closely at the mattress you can see that it is Tuffed but not very well. Some of the tufts have come undone. I purchased a futon cover to place over the mattress. The mattress cover is for an 8 to 10 inch queen sized futon mattress. It wasn't worth it to me to return the mattress because it was hard to maneuver when purchased didn't know how I would have been able to return it since the box it came in was very flimsy

Review update 9 mo after buying: DON'T. Not for nightly sleeping, anyway. This is a review for the 12" queen size futon. I had hoped for a much firmer futon. It's quite soft, which felt nice when I first lay down on it, but it was AWFUL for sleeping. Made valleys right where our bodies sleep after only 1-2 days. Backaches within a week. (We bought a different brand (Gold Bond?) from a local shop to replace this one only 2 months later, which is firmer, but still not great). I couldn't use the Mozaic at all and had to sleep in our guest room on my daughter's 20 year old futon on the floor, which was much more comfortable and helped straighten my back out again. Now we don't know what to do with this one. We may give it to my son to use in his cabin, but I'd hate to cause him this pain!Original review: Now we are 5 weeks into using our new futon, and I keep trying to lay on the "hill" in the center to even things out. It doesn't help much though. We use our futon as our nightly bed, (on a Zinus Alexia 12" wood frame, which we love). The thickness is great, but it's not stuffed very densely, so your body creates hills and valleys almost immediately. My previous bed was a firm futon mattress used on the floor for 30 years. It was something of a pancake when we finally looked for a new one, but I loved it's firmness. This one may only make it a few years, but we thought it might be worthwhile to try it because of the great price, and reviews weren't bad. And we were able to get it delivered during COVID-19. Not the best futon, but not the worst. Great price and free delivery. We'll see how long we can enjoy it.

I mean, you’ll need to hire twelve guys just to move this thing. Sometimes thicker isn’t better. This item sucks as both a couch and a bed.

We were replacing our 20+ year old futon mattress. After we unpackaged it, we noticed one side was thicker than the other. No matter how much fluffing we did, we couldn't get it to even out. So, besides being lopsided, it is not 12" at all. The tallest part was maybe 9-10". The other end, maybe 6-7". If there's memory foam in this thing, it isn't much because I didn't feel it at all. It looks nothing like the nice, thick mattress in the picture. The cover is baggy because it isn't 12". Overall, we aren't that happy but since it's just for occasional use, we'll just keep it. Too much of a hassle to send it back.

I've had it for several months now and I have currently thoroughly enjoyed this mattress! I say mattress because it is actually way to thick and heavy to covert to a couch, trust me I've tried, but the main purpose for me, a college student, was an inexpensive large bed. I ordered the queen size bed and since the futon doesn't have a removable cover (I wish it did) I also went an purchased a bed cover for the futon. It isn't the perfect mattress obviously, though it's heavier than a regular futon mattress, it's not as heavy as an actually mattress so sometimes it will slide but that's also an easy fix. These small glitches are easily overcome and I have enjoyed many nights of sleep in this.

I purchased the wrong size, lol 😂😂... thought I was getting a full size, not a queen size but, it was for my daughter's futom bed and she's a light girl. No smells to it right out of the package, thank goodness for that. She said it's super comfortable and she loves it. We ended up putting it on top of the original futom mattress her bed came with. Well, if she likes it, who am I to complain, right??Bottom line, my kids deserve what's best and comfortable, especially since the school grades are good. 😉😉

If you want a thick mattress, look no further. If you want a futon mattress that will easily convert to a couch, this is not for you. While it is convertible, it takes two people to actually bend the mattress into a couch-like formation. No worries, we bought it for our 21-year old son, who wanted something to use now and something that he could use in his own apartment later. Problem solved!!!!

This dog bed labelled a mattress is nowhere near 12 inches thick and doesn't have enough filling. I contacted the manufacturer who recommended getting a mattress topper. I bought a 3 inch memory foam topper and it was still too awful to sleep on. Maybe it would be okay to use on a futon frame as a couch IDK but if you are looking for a legit futon mattress to sleep on, this is not it. :(
