Boxie® Extra Strength Cat Litter, Lightweight 35-Day Odor Control, Clumping, 6.5lb

We have an older cat with diabetes who pees a lot and the old fashioned clay little would get wet and stick to his feet and legs and he would walk it everywhere on the floor. This brand is made from Barley and doesnt clump and stick to cats fur, it stays in the box. HOWEVER the unscented smells very strong in a small enclosed area. I need the scented version to offset the strong barley odor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this brand but the lavender scented one instead of Unscented.

First off, I can't believe I'm writing a review about cat litter but you guys.....it is a struggle is it not?! I've used Boxicat extra strength unscented (the regular clay kind) for years because it's the best at disguising the scent and lasts a long time. However, my cat is old and lazy and the tracking has been an ISSUE for so long with this stuff. Because it was clay she would track it, and it would get wet and then turn to like glue basically on my floors. A constant battle. So difficult to clean up. THIS STUFF THO. It's not clay. I don't know what it is but it's sent from the angels. It clumps and disguises odor just as well as the clay kind but no gross clay glue on my floors!!! The tracking isn't any less with it, but its easy to sweep up and if it gets wet it doesn't cause massive cleanup. Plus it's great that its SO LIGHTWEIGHT because my very old cat can easily move it around. Can we all agree that the normal boxi cat clay litter is like the heaviest stuff on earth?! Will only buy this AIR version from now on. Still can't believe i'm writing a review about cat litter LOL but I just had to spread the good word

Does not have a fragrance.

The only thing that I don't care for is that I can no longer use my sifting litter pans. When this stuff gets wet, it's like glue. It sticks to anything it is touching, and it leaves residue after you pry it off. If only my cats would stay away from the edges!I have back problems, so bending over and carefully scooping several pans (my cats have 2 pans each) is miserable, but the tradeoff of getting rid of that awful clay litter stench is totally worth it. My cats seem to like it more, too. My house doesn't smell like dirty litter boxes if I miss a day of scooping, either. Yes, it's more expensive, but it seems to last longer and is much lighter to carry to the curb, too.

I thought to myself, “ I love the regular boxie cat litter for use with my litter robot. Why not give this a try?” Worst mistake ever! The litter turns into a mush and sticks to the sides of the litter robot! The litter developed a horrible odor. I had to deep clean my litter robots after just one week use with the boxie air litter. I have never had this trouble with the regular boxie cat litter. This litter may work well for regular litter boxes however it is a poor choice to use with the litter robot!

I actually think this product works quite well. The smell was tolerable, not strong but not bad when the cats used it either. However, I could not for the life of me keep my dogs out of the box with this litter. Any other litter they aren't interested. But this litter was like irresistible and they would try to sneak in a snack every chance they got. I had to change to something else because it was driving me crazy and they would not leave it alone.

I've been a Boxie Cat customer for 7yrs now. Ever since I bought my 1st bag I was hooked. While I love the heavy version (clay based?) I'm disabled & have a difficult time lifting the bag to both get it in the house and into the liter boxes. The light version is the same exact product in terms of performance and quality, it just weighs less. I highly recommend Boxie cat, period. Any of their products are superior to anything on the market today.

I love my BoxieCat Pro, but this stuff not so much. It works just fine, but it’s so light it gets out of the cat box enclosure and ends up under your feet and all over the house. And we have mats and other things to keep things tidy, but it couldn’t stop this stuff from tracking everywhere. I’ll stick to the regular BoxieCat Pro — the best cat litter ever.My cat used to pee once in a while on the furniture if the cat box didn’t meet his standards. Not since we switched to BoxieCat though!

I usually buy the Ecograss cat litter at a brick and mortar store, but with a fractured ankle, I need someone with two good feet to carry up the stairs. Boxy Cat plant based light mixed in very well with the Ecograss. Slight odour, so wasn't sure if the cats would object but all good. I was a little put off that the litter contained small hard chunks that I had to fish out of the litter box. Took a few days as I have giant sized litter boxes - 36 inches by 20 inches.

No smell

The bag came ripped, and the litter spilled in the Amazon box. I didn't think much of it, but then when I poured the first batch into the litter there were small clumps. Again, I didn't think much of this. Fast forward a couple days later, I pour another bit into the litter AND THERE WAS A WET CLUMP OF LITTER IN THE BAG. HAS THIS BEEN USED ALREADY? I AM SO DISAPPOINTED AND CLEARLY HAD TO THROW OUT THE ENTIRE BAG IMMEDIATELY AFTER SEEING THIS. I never write reviews on Amazon, but I am at a loss for words. I do not know whether this bag has been used already, or whether liquid got in the bag- regardless this is absolutely awful and extremely disturbing.

I am truly disappointed at how this Boxie Cat Litter arrived in the box today. Please refer to pic above.It was split wide open and then obviously placed in a sealed plastic amazon bag then put in a box and sent to me!Absolutely unacceptable!! The replacement should have been WITH a refund but non the less, I am hoping the replacement bag will not arrive in this extremely poor condition. The cat litter itself is great, light, next to no dust, low door, smells a little bit like cerial grain, and clumps fairly well. I would not say, hard clumps, but it is very easy to clean. Overall, the litter is a good litter for us. Messy, high tracking, but good for our darling Fe-Lion. she has no complaints. She is a senior cat, so needs a lighter litter to move around. I think she is happy with this litter.

Love this stuff. Very lightweight.
