I got this book shortly after its release and it exceeded my highest expectations. I knew the content would be good, but the art reproduction itself within it is also terrific -- something that is not always easy when translating art to printed pieces. Moreover, the interesting and engaging way the information is both articulated and laid out graphically makes this a very captivating read. Whether you want to learn how to draw or just want to see what separates truly extraordinary talent from all the rest, this book is a must-have.

This book is absolutely fabulous! I bought 2 copies, one to keep and one as a gift. My niece loves this book and plans on becoming a fashion illustrator. Jenn Lilya did an incredible job with all of her step-by-step instructions and amazing illustrated samples for guidelines. Highly recommend it!!

The book is great for beginners to illustration, as well as people with intermediate skills in illustration, i learnt so many tips from this book, Jennifer lilya revealed several tips and tricks to make your fashion figures look alive, outstanding and eyecatching! this tips are rarely seen in so many fashion illustration books. She focused more on the use of watercolour, although i am currently learning marker rendering, i was still able to learn so much! This book is a must buy for anyone interested in drawing outstanding fashion figures.

I love this book! I've bought many drawing and paint reference books over the years but I really connected with this one. The author did a wonder job keeping the reader engaged, the step-by-steps are good, and the art itself is so pretty :)I feel so creative--I can't turn it off!

I bought this for my granddaughter's 11th birthday. I read it through before giving it to her and loved it! It has lots of tips and instructions for painting people and clothes. She was excited to get it and looks forward to using it with the acrylics, brushes and ink I got along with it!

If you are looking for good instruction on sketching clothes this is not the book you want to purchase. Disappointing purchase.

Nicely done and illustrated. Hesitating between 3 and 4. stars. The fashion industry as a whole makes me a little nervous (I have two daughters) for multiple reasons, but my daughter seems to like it a lot. There are multiple subjects covered that contribute to knowledge of presentation.

Very dissapointed. The book is purely theoretical and full of pictures. There are some templates at the end but it doesn't actually show you how to sketch or paint the figures.

excellent book for colour reference on mixing colours for skin hair and facial features, and how to achieve painting texture for various fabric effects.I would recommend this book to anyone who just wants to enjoy painting fashion without to much technical jargon it is easy to follow with good results

This book is delightful, the illustrations are perfect all the way through, a real pleasure to read. I have a lot of fashion books of this kind and this is by far the best, absolutely my favourite.

Es un libro muy ilustrado, pero con pocas indicaciones de como dibujar el rostro (ya sé que Lilya tiene otro libro para eso). Lo malo es que todos los rostros se ven iguales, solo el peinado cambia. Es un buen inicio para comenzar a aprender ilustración de modas.

My kids and I use this book a lot. If you like drawing and want to brush up on your skills this is a great book for beginners.

Has some interesting color advice, but I prefer more realistic female figures and poses to go to for inspiration. My own fault, I should have looked more carefully at the info.

Questo libro e' semplicemente meraviglioso! E' pieno di idee e tecniche per imparare a disegnare i figurini di moda! L'autrice utilizza i colori acrilici, ma a mio parere le tecniche possono essere prese come spunto e personalizzate. Lo consiglio!
