Q: How can this be used with click-together flooring as mentioned in the description? There is no offset edge to protect the tongued edges of planks.

I'm an installer I purchased one couple weeks ago and I love it !! When useing you need to pivot slap you keep one end always I contact with your material , by doing this the whole surface area of the block hits at the same time and because of the wieght of the block you're not putting much effort into your swing. takes a minute to get the hang of it ,but I was comfortable useing it during the first job and was well on my way in about 30min no need for hammer at all

Q: We have a super difficult vinyl plank flooring we have to hit hard with a regular block multiple times to seam. will this product help with this?

Yes highly recommend it. Gives you power and control. I used it to install Pergo, it was powerful enough for my 9 year old and wife to use and join the seams without damaging the tongue and grooves. Use the tapping block with this to protect the flooring.

Q: what makes it so special and worth over $40 , that a piece of 2x4 or 2x3 couldn't do ?

If your a professional installer the price isn't even a question. I've been Blasting out units with this tapping block for the last 2 years on full throttle mode and yet to have a complaint. These are awesome and if you like I'll challenge you to go against me. Your 2x4 against my striker??

I highly recommend this tapping block. No, one don’t need a hammer just use block to tap the flooring together Very happy with mine. Hope this helps.
