Useful, but as others have mentioned you still need to use additional protection with them as pan does get extremely hot.

I have used these a few times and was frustrated when they still got hot until I learned to only put them on when I need to hold the handles. This is actually really easy to do as they slip on and off simply. This makes them work effectively and is the reason I have still given them four stars.

Great for if you need to put your griddle in the oven. Just push them onto the handles. Great heat protection

I bought these to go with my recent purchase of the Whatever Pan. They are definitely necessary as it would be very easy to forget and touch the metal handles of the pan, which become searingly hot. However while the silicon handles do provide some protection, they themselves become quite hot during cooking, which surprised me. Also they are quite loose fitting, so I feel they could slip off fairly easily. Finally they are expensive at over £8 for two small pieces of silicon.So in summary you do need them with the pan, but quality and value for money are doubtful. So catch-22 really.

This item is sturdy and prevented alit of burns in the kitchen, also get to wash and dry them and use so very happy with this product

We purchased the Whatever Pan and it has been a great addition to our kitchen. However, the handles are a disappointment as they are rather thin silicone that provide limited protection from red hot handles if the pan is removed from the oven or barbecue. They are overpriced and inferior when compared to cheaper "claw-style" finger silicone mitts we had laying around the kitchen. To make matters worse, the seller requires that you pay postage should you wish to return this product, so make sure you factor that in prior to purchasing.

I wasn't sure if I'd like them so I ordered one set. I have all sorts of pans with varies size handles so I wanted to know if they'd fit.They did. I really like these a lot. They fit all my pans. I love how they open up to fit my pan handles. However, they do still allow some heat to get through the handles BUT.... it won't burn your hands like an uncovered pan handle that are metal. So for me thats a win.If you need something these are nice. Inexpensive.
