excellent for the price
This review is for the pedals that do not have one side as a flat, but both sides have the spd clip in. I mounted them on my road bike and took a short ride, so I can't comment on their longevity. The clipless mechanism works just fine and they are reasonably lightweight. The description indicates that the bearings are self-lubricating, which means that they are essentially oil-impregnated bushings. If the quality is high enough, these should last a long time without needing to be greased. It also allows them to make the pedal compact, which is nice if they are mounted on a road bike. Their lifespan may be limited on a mountain bike unless you're just riding greenways and buff trails. Rock strikes on the more challenging trails might do a number on the mechanism. The price is certainly right on these. If you've been wanting to try clipless, this is a good way to go.

Perfect combo of casual and SPD pedals
I have had these pedals for a few months, now, and they are great. The SPD side works perfectly, whereas the "flat" side allows me to ride my bike without cycling shoes or even barefoot. My previous "mixed" pedals had sharper metal edges, which wouldn't work with bare feet: not that I ride a lot with bare feet, but it is an option. The flat side also is "grippy" enough when used with shows. Smooth turning, too. Great value.

Not so easy to use
Needs to re adjust screws for easy fit to shoes

Best entry level clippless pedals! Great to learn on!
These are my first clippless pedals. I paired them with Tomasso cycling shoes. These pedals have been super easy to learn to use. They are dual sided which makes clipping in super easy. They are adjustable, but I haven't had to adjust mine at all. They have a good amount of float from the factory and feel very secure when clipped in. Being all metal they seem like they will last a long time. I have been using them for months now and have have no issues!

Better than my prior pair
I am able to "Click" in and out easy made me like my SPDs even better dunno why my regular SPD pedals weren't as good as these. If you want an easy in and out pedal this is it I didn't have to loosen the spring or anything.

Nice inexpensive alternative to Shimano
As a new rider of clipless pedals, I wanted the extra security of these two sided pedals for my road bike. Just a few minutes of practice, and I was immediately comfortable on them. They are easy to engage and disengage as they arrived from the factory, so I have not needed to adjust the tension on them. I will likely continue to use these on my road bike even though they are technically for mountain bikes, since I prefer the walkability of SPD shoes over SPD-SL.These pedals don't have many miles on them yet, so I'll update this review if I run into any issues. So far, these seem to be a very good value.

Very poor machining. Will not release even on the lowest setting. This makes them unsafe.
These are pretty poor. Even at the lowest clamp setting they would not release my shoes. (Fortunately I put these on my recumbent trike and not my bike, or I definitely would have fallen) I couldn't figure it out till I ran my finger along the cleat holding parts. The machining is awful! There are metal burrs from the manufacturing stamp/brake -- enough to cut your finger -- that bite into the cleats. I have SPDs on 2 trikes and 4 bikes. I've never not been able to get out. One bike has comparable pair I got from Performance a while back, Forte I think. They are much better all round.Edit: 2 days later. Chrome pealing off the side I didn't touch with the Dremel. These pedals now have 30 miles on them.I took my Dremel to these and ground down the burrs. Will see if they improve on my next ride. I recommend paying the $10 more to get better quality and safer pedals.

Pedali buoni
Pedali che funzionano bene, peccato per la manutenzione, non sono ancora riuscito a trovare una bussola che vada bene nel loro foro, misura strana.

Great VFM. Easy to use. Fairly light.
100kg. rider here. (I know...) I Replaced some damaged Wellgo WPD801 spd. pedals with these. These are lighter and, although having more slender spindles, and smaller sole support area, seem as stiff and responsive unless really labouring in a big gear on a climb. Spindles are conical so thick enough at the crank end. Being light and having reasonable bearings they suit spinning well. Entry/exit is easy with a light tension which I tightened right up. Great VFM.
