God, Have Mercy...
My God, I can't believe I buy this book . And I would say... I will CURSE Jhonen Vasquez for destroying my happy, normal mind.Anyhow, this book is really something to be red. This is not an ordinary book that all about nice stuffs, about good versus bad things. This, at the exact contrary, is all about being a little boy who really has a veeeeeeeeery bad luck in his life.Yep, that's right! Squee might be some kind of cursed boy with a natural talent of getting into trouble! All that happened in his life was nothing but a bunch of nightmares and insanity: his parents were very hate him and even (especially his mother) forgot that they had son, his neighbor was an insane psychopath with a habit of collecting blood to paint his wall (read Johnny The Homicidal Maniac too!), his classmates were school zombies, his teacher tried to kill him, his only alive friend was the son of Satan (the other friend, unfortunately, was eaten by a murderous chihuahua), his grandpa was a carnivorous kid-eating cyborg, and even his little Teddy Bear was evil. God, maybe I'll kill myself if having Squee's life....In this book, we will travel in some parts of Squee's life, starting when he prayed for his son-hating Daddy, abducted by Aliens, having a conversation with a soon-to-be-dead dog, almost eaten by an extra-large dustmites, and so on. My own favorite is the time Squee witnessed some kind of brutalization unknown stuff in a toilet. So many blood! Fun!Anyway, at the half part of the book, Jhonen Vasquez also put some short stories, "Meanwhile", that's... uh, TYPICALLY insane. My God, I really like Jhonen's idea about the horrible movie! I can't even stop laughing about that! I might kill myself to really watch one!About the drawing itself, well... I'm not a man of art myself, but I can say... GOD, THE DRAWING IS UNSPEAKABLE! Not because you can hardly understand what Jhonen drew, of course, but more because the drawing can make you losing your mind. There's so many stupid things that make you laugh, then suddenly... DEATH! Wow! I can say Jhonen really knows where to "put" his drawing, not only "how" to draw it, which makes this book really worth to read....Okay, the paragraph above doesn't include "Happy Noodle Boy" comic strips, 'cause this ones really... STINK. And yet, I'm still buying it, 'cause they really, really STINK.Ahem.... Anyhow, I'd really suggest this book to you who think you like insane stuffs. Also, if you are people who can enjoy some NASTY humor, and able to resist some blood, try to read too. I'm sure you will enjoy this book a lot. Have fun, and remember, this is NOT a guidebook for your life.

highly recommended
Found and ordered this graphic novel from seller. its one i have looked to finally own for a very long time and finally found at an amazing price! i was a bit worried that i might get a fairly trashed comic, for the price. just a bit of spine glue separation, only in the first few pages and signs of previous enjoyment were all that was wrong with it. things i can live with for a great priced used graphic novel! Shipping was spot on as well! thank you very much for helping me to finally add this to my personal library!

A Sort-Of Lighter Followup to JTHM...
Squee is essentially a follow-up to the Johhny the Homicidal Maniac comics, but not in a traditional sequel-type way. Squee was a character that appeared in JTHM, but was not the main focus. This volume focuses directly on Squee, though, so it can't really be seen as a sequel to that book – it's more of a spin-off really. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed “Squee.”“Squee” still has Jhonen Vasquez's usual dark humor, but it feels like a slightly lighter, more fun collection compared to JTHM, and I'd have to say I found “Squee” to be funnier than JTHM overall. Not to say I didn't enjoy JTHM, it's just that “Squee” is my favorite out of the two. I really love the humor of Squee, and, additionally, for fans of Invader Zim it's super fun to see strange little precursors to characters and alien designs that appear in Invader Zim. Aside from the main Squee-related stories, this collected work also includes the “Meanwhiles” and “Wobbly Headed Bob” side-stories, so if you get this and the Director's cut of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, you'll have the whole collection of side stories. So, if you like JTHM, then you need to pick this up. If you haven't read JTHM yet, then you should start there since that's the origin of Squee as a character. The best option of all, though, is to get both!

Very good for what it is
I am a big fan of Invader Zim, so when I heard the creator of that show wrote this comic, I knew I had to read it. I'm not a huge comic buff, so I'm unable to critique finer points about panel design, flow, character design, etc. What I can say is that many characters from the show are featured in the comic, including the dumb aliens, the teacher, and others I can't think of at the moment. The characters have their own roles which the author does brilliantly, in my opinion. For example, it's one thing to notice that Squee's parents hate him. It's quite another to see a panel of Squee walking in on his dad watching his birth in reverse, wishing Squee would just disappear. Over the top moments like this, give the comics a very likable style which had me laughing at the dark humor quite regularly. Fans of this kind of stuff should read this for sure. Also check out Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. That one was pretty good too!

This bedtime story is scaring my nephew. Wait... it is a bedtime story, isn't?
And unspeakable is the word which fits the most for describing this comic book. In other words, it's amazingly dark and I like that. This sequel to JTHM is disturbing and it doesn't need anything from its predecessor, which is also a great artwork itself. I liked the fact that this books collects all the Happy Noodle Boy's episodes not seen in JTHM and all the Meanwhile's as well. I think you shouldn't lose the opportunity to purchase this comic if you are a devoted Vasquez fanatic. Also, it is a great comic for reading it as a bedtime story and traumatize your annoying nephew or little sibling... I mean, why not?

I love everything about this book, the writer, the art style, etc. couldn’t stop laughing. That being said it is a little bit of darker as of humor

Lovely
This book's style and comedy feels in between of JTHM and Invader Zim. With the violence, demons and stuff from JTHM and the children, school, aliens stuff from Invader Zim but on its own original way.

Terminó por aburrirme
Bien al principio, pero aburrido y repetitivo conforme vas leyendo. La letra en algunas páginas es tan pequeña que necesitarás una lupa. Flojo.

Squee
All the squee comics in one book is nice same size as comics with a few extra pics... The only thing that I didn't like about this was the blank pages 4... It would have been better filled.
