Worked well.
I had a spare wd green 240gb m2 sata ssd so i ordered this case for that. Case is light weight with scratchless sleek design. Indicator shows if it's on and blinks when in use. Transfer speed is also good.Keep in mind that this case only works with sata ssd. Check compatibility before ordering it.

Excellent quality with one major flaw
I'll keep this short with the pertinent facts.THE GOOD STUFF1. The quality of this enclosure is amazing and beautifully engineered.2. It is Thunderbolt 3 which of course makes it far more expensive, exotic and of course very very fast.3. You won't be disappointed with the performance if you mate it with a high speed NVMe SSD drive.4. It is truly tool free but give the instructions a read first - they are very helpful.5. It is good value compare to other enclosures.THE BAD STUFF1. Out of pure madness Sabrent have decided to make the USB Thunderbolt 3 port proprietary. There are two notches in it which means only their cable will fit and at the time of writing you cannot buy a spare.THE PROBLEM WITH THE PORT AND CABLEI've already modified a Thunderbolt 3 cable to fit Sabrent's port so this can be easily done. It's two small 1 x 2mm notches that need to be made which of course would invalidate any cable warranty - your choice.

Check compatibility!
The enclosure is very slim and well milled. Be careful with compatibility, as this enclosure only has a SATA controller. Unfortunately this means that it didn't work with my PCIe (2 lane) B+M key SSD, even though its physical connection is correct, because it requires a PCIe controller. I was hoping that it could at least run at SATA speeds, but that seems not to be the case. Though for anyone with a SATA M.2 SSD, this enclosure will work fine, so I can't fault it as it serves its intended purpose.Unfortunately I found that it didn't work with my M.2 PCIe (2 lane) B+M key SSD

Does what it says on the tin, and it does it well!
Pretty straigh forward device. Arrived in a lot nicer packaging than expected which is nice. It also includes spare screws for keeping your M.2 drive in place and for closing the enclosure. Tiny screwdriver and instructions also included. So pacaking wise, great job!The enclosure itself is actually a lot smaller than I expected, which is nice. I've included a picture with a 10p coin for size comparison.Lastly speeds seem to be largely unaffected on the drive I'm using (screenshots attached). Please keep in mind this is a really cheap, OEM, M.2 SATA drive pulled out of an ASUS laptop, so it's write speeds are bad to begin with. I don't have a internal connector benchmark screenshot to comare to, but I rember this drive had roughly the same speeds, i.e. I seem to recall a 500Mb/s sequensial read speed, but other than that, all the other speeds are pretty much the same internal speeds.Overall can't complain and can't beat this price/quality either so highly recommended!

A great easy to use drive for cloning Windows
Sabrent's M.2 enclosure is perfect for making use of an old M.2 SATA drive as a fast USB 3.0 drive, but it's also very useful if you are thinking of moving from a hard drive or smaller SSD to a new M.2 card in a laptop or PC.The enclosure looks good in black aluminium and is really easy to assemble. The pack comes with the drive, USB 3.0 lead, screws and riser for the M.2 card and a handy screwdriver, along with basic instructions. To install the M.2 you just need to undo the two screws at the front, slide the inside out, grab the M.2 and the riser and screw to screw it in place on the card, slide the card back in and do the screws up. It took about 6 minutes but only because the screw for the M.2 is incredibly small (as they always are).My reason for buying this drive was to install a 500GB M.2 SATA drive in my ASUS laptop, in place of the current boot drive, a 128GB M.2). I installed this drive, used the Windows Disk Management to format it with one partition, used the free EaseUS Partition Master Free software to clone Windows and the recovery sector, then move the recovery sector around so I could re partition the Windows partition to make it larger. The enclosure works really fast on USB 3.0 but it still manages to work fast enough to be useful on USB 2.0 ports as well, so if you only have USB 2.0 then this can still be used. The only other thing to note is that M.2 drives can get pretty hot in use and this being metal, it can obviously heat up a bit, so worth bearing in mind.
