My other half is always asking me to help him when he needs to solder something, as he needs me to hold the wires together whilst he fixes them in place. the problem being he needs me to be around to do his work & of course, I need to hold them still until they set.Not any more - this bit of kit now holds everything perfectly still whilst he works on it & it also comes with a light & magnifying glass to see small, fiddly jobs too.The only niggle is the lack of instructions when putting this together, as there are actually 2 different sized screws that look very similar, so the first time you put one together you might find you pick the wrong ones, but it is fairly easy to work out since it is quite logical, but those 2 screws were a bit of an annoyance due to them looking the same a glance.So, once it's in place you can plug it in (it's USB but I had a mains adapter so used that) & you have 3 colours of lighting as well as a range of brightnesses. I have taken photos of the shades but the camera didn't show any variance in the brightness despite it being clearly visible to the naked eye (These cameras are too good these days lol).This is a good quality bit of kit which is very apparent when it's put together. It's sturdy & not going to move or topple over. The arms are rigid enough to hold things steady but easy to bend to your desired position.The clips are also easy to open & clamp well.I can see this also coming in handy for tying fishing rigs too due to its ability to hold the hooks still & with the light & magnifying glass I can see thread & tie the line far easier. No more lost hooks on the floor or stabbed fingers!5/5 would totally recommend for anyone that needs to do up close, steady work. Well worth the money. The other half is well impressed & said he doesn't know why he didn't buy one sooner.

This was brought as a gift for my partner as he does a lot of soldering and different projects, I also do Similar projects to him and paint miniatures so this was a perfect gift that was also helpful to me. I did a lot of research and I picked this one for multiple reasons. It's cheaper than some of the more high end ones but I have found it's absolutely perfect! You can move the legs around depending on what you are doing, the LED is really bright, good magnifying glass, it doesn't tip under its own weight because the metal at the bottom weighs it down. This is perfect for anyone who needs something held for them or the use of a magnifying glass. I would suggest this over and over! We've had this at least 6 months and it's still going strong! It's free standing as well which many aren't and it stands well.

Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.I selected the flexible arm model over fixed plate as it allows greater flexibility in the positioning of the base and as such the location of the magnetic flexible clips.The lamp is screwed to the base in the centre of the unit with a screw whereas the croc clips can be positioned at will due to them having strong magnets on the base. Two long and two short afford a variety of positions especially when holding different sizes of unit.The magnifying lamp is fine - Three colours of lighting provided from the led - I stick with the daylight blue light - easier on the eye and providing adequate light. The magnifying lens is not glass and is not perfect but sufficiently good enough for closeup work although it becomes very close to the subject material to be In focus and therefore soldering irons are equally close so be careful when workingOverall, I have been pleasantly surprised by the flexibility afforded by this unit and worth the money. Use it primarily for close up photography and in this case I have found it a very useful piece. of kit. I have soldered with it and again it has proved to be up to the jobWhy four stars ? perhaps I find the lack of purity in the overall magnification a little irksome on occasions.However, when taken as a whole for what can be done with it I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this unit especially when compared with other similar but lesser quality unitsAnd no I have not been sponsored in this review - credit where credit is due

Ho preso questo prodotto, dopo un'accurata selezione tra tutti quelli esistenti in commercio. Avevo bisogno di una "terza mano" per effettuare delle saldature a stagno. In particolare dovevo sistemare il filo di una cuffia auricolare che era stata tranciata dal gatto. Così ho dovuto dotarmi degli strumenti necessari tra cui il saldatore a stagno, lo stagno, un supporto che mi aiutasse a tenere vicine le due estremità da saldare. Alla fine la mia scelta è ricaduta su questo articolo. Il pacco è arrivato nei tempi di consegna previsti. L'articolo arriva smontato per ovvie esigenze di imballaggio. Il montaggio è alquanto agevole e intuitivo. Sono rimasta colpita dall'ottima qualità dei materiali e dalla estetica del prodotto. Effettivamente è un supporto molto valido per effettuare lavori di precisione, robusto e affidabile. La base è abbastanza pesante e consente di lavorare tranquillamente senza pericolo di sbagliare perche le pinze che si trovano all'estremità delle aste flessibili, che si possono modellare come è più comodo, sono abbastanza resistenti e tengono bene i pezzi da riparare , saldare o sui quali bisogna insomma intervenire.In definitiva è un prodotto molto buono che consiglio vivamente per lavoretti che richiedono questo supporto e che non ha nulla a che vedere con gli analoghi articoli che si trovano sul mercato, plasticosi e a basso prezzo.Compratelo tranquillamente quindi perché non potrete che rimanerne entusiasti.

J'ai apprécié faire ma première soudure avec ce produit ! Le support est stable, comme il ne se fixe pas sur le bord de la table, on peut le mettre où l'on veut, les pinces pratiques, l'éclairage est bon... Rien à redire.Il n'y avait pas de mode d'emploi, ce qui n'est pas grave. Je poste quand même la photo d'un des pieds, car j'avais monté les bras avant de me rendre compte que j'avais oublié les supports en plastiques :-P

Preciso subito che non arriva la base completa con led e lente, ma soltanto i due braccetti flessibili di ricambio (con le pinze e le viti di fissaggio). In questo ho trovato la descrizione del prodotto poco chiara e fuorviante. Al di là di questo, la qualità è discreta, ma ho notato qualche piccolo problema.Appena ho ricevuto le due braccia flessibili, le ho subito provate. Ne ho installata una alla base di un microscopio che uso per effettuare saldature su circuiti elettronici. La flessibilità mi è sembrata piuttosto buona: i braccetti rimangono correttamente in posizione e non si deve fare troppo sforzo per piegarli. Chiaramente non reggono pesi elevati, ma per componenti elettronici vanno bene.Non mi è piaciuto il sistema con cui le pinze vengono fissate ai braccetti. È costituito semplicemente da una vite che preme sul corpo della pinza. Quest’ultimo però è piuttosto leggero e quindi non conviene stringere troppo sulla vite per non deformarlo. Il risultato è che la pinza non dà mai l’impressione di essere fissata saldamente al supporto.Buoni invece i piedini in gomma con cui montare il tutto su una base (deve essere adeguatamente pesante o comunque abbastanza larga per evitare che cada).Oltre a questi aspetti, nel kit ricevuto mancava una vite e una di quelle presenti aveva evidenti difetti di fabbricazione sulla filettatura, il che l’ha resa inutilizzabile (si può vedere in foto). Ho dovuto trovare viti sostitutive e, anche se non è stato difficile, è comunque una situazione che non dovrebbe verificarsi.CONCLUSIONILa nota positiva è rappresentata dai due braccetti in sé, che sembrano abbastanza robusti pur mantenendo una certa flessibilità. Per il resto, ci sono un po’ di piccoli difetti sugli accessori, ma anche nella descrizione del prodotto (che sembra suggerire la presenza di una base completa e non dei soli braccetti). Il prezzo di € 19,99 (al momento della recensione) mi sembra un po’ altino. Complessivamente, la qualità non è delle migliori, ma è comunque discreta, credo meriti tre stelle al massimo. Allego un po’ di foto e spero di essere stato utile.

The media could not be loaded.  Estaba realmenre harto de "apaños" esta opción no la conocía, no soy un experto, simplemente aficionado, pero es una auténtica gozada, no solo por la versatilidad de los 4 brazos, el tema de la iluminación y de la lente de aumento es increíblemente útil, no tengo necesidad, mi vista es buena, pero la verdad es que se trabaja muchiiiisimo mejor. Realmente cómodo para unir y estañar cables, y trabajos de precisiónLo uso incluso para pintar maquetas y figuras impresas en 3d.
