Save yourself a migrane
You *could* install a new audio system without this adapter, but you'd have to be extremely frugal or masochistic to do so. Worked great.Amazon asked me to rate the "Sheerness" (not at all sheer) and the "Thickness" (just right). LOL.

It works
It matched my Kia connection. Nice to be able to splice wiring connections at the kitchen table instead of working at the dashboard in the car. Worth the convenience.

Fits 2005 Hyundai Elantra
Fit my '05 Hyundai Elantra perfectly. I tried to connect this to the aftermarket stereo with butt connectors, but found that to be more effort than it was worth. Ended up using electrical tape and some thorough twisting. All of the cables were also labelled which made the wiring incredible easy!

Took me about half hour due to the old wires being so dull in colour but was easy to determine on the connection side
