Ring Video Doorbell 2 Faceplate - Firecracker

I didn’t “need” a new ring doorbell cover, but when I saw the blue cover which matches the color of our front door, I just couldn’t resist! It looks absolutely beautiful and stylish. The cover is consistent with the original in size, quality, value and design. It’s very easy to install and creates an irresistable custom look! I love it!

I ordered this for a Ring Battery Doorbell Plus because I could not find anything on the Ring site or Amazon saying whether these doorbells use the same faceplate or not.At a glance they look the same but the Battery Doorbell Plus is slightly different in size for the faceplate so I’ll be returning this.I took down our defective Ring Video Doorbell 2nd Gen since it suddenly died one day and won’t power on anymore and upgraded to the new Doorbell Plus. Tried this on the 2nd Gen and it fit perfectly so if you have that one this is a great way to add a splash of color.

This is the second time ordering something from Ring that says it’s supported for 2nd Generation but actually isn’t. After the first time I even looked on their website and google to make sure I was getting the correct thing this time. TURNS OUT, they just false advertise EVERYWHERE I guess 🙄. I could not be more annoyed. I was excited to make my ring look cute for October but of course I can’t bc this faceplate doesn’t fit despite advertising that it does. idk what kind of doorbell these other reviews have but it’s not the 2nd Gen unless there’s ANOTHER 2nd gen, which would be really dumb and negligent on Rings end to not name it something else.

I broke my original plate trying to take it off and needed a replacement fast. This one did the job. The color is not as vibrant as in the picture, which was perfect for me. Installation was easy peasy, since it's the same process you do to remove the battery. It does NOT come with the screw at the bottom, so make sure you keep yours from the original unit. I have a Ring 2 and it fit just fine, no idea what some of the other complaints about it not fitting are. It's a little pricey for what it is, but it's great quality. I feel like if it were $9.99, I would probably change it out more often for the different seasons.

Seems fine. Haven't tried to install yet since it is a wee bit early for Christmas Decorations

I ordered the color white but received a black cover. I did a replacement order for a white one, and again, received it in black. There must be something off at the warehouse and it's grabbing from the wrong box or something. So beware if you are ordering white, you may receive the wrong color! For a third time ordering I took a gamble and ordered the ice blue color, and ice blue actually arrived! Would have preferred the white here but the light blue is still nice. It fit perfectly - the model 2 that requires a screw for the rechargeable battery.

I was so excited when I saw that there was coloured face plates for the ring. Purple is our colour and it was nice to have a Ring that matches us. It was quick and easy to change and there was a wide variety of colours available even seasonal themes. It was a nice way to spruce up the doorbell for a reasonable price and I highly recommend.

It's very nice, fits my Ring 2 perfectly. I love that it's textured.
