Planet Bike Floor Pump Auto Head & Hose, 2 inches x 1 inch x 38"

I love the metal lever - sturdy and easy to swap in for my old Planet Bike hose/head. Works great, satisfying and solid connection with no leaks.

I had an older Schwinn air pump that was a real pain to use with Presta valves. The replacement Planet Bike Head and Hose fit perfectly and gave me a pump that can accommodate both valve types. The head can be operated easily and works with Presta and Schrader. The hose is longer than my existing pump hoses which is a plus. Will buy a second one for a similar pump located at our other house.

I have an inflator with digital gauge that I hook up to my compressor. The head on that inflator was leaking a lot on several different types of Presta valves, and was also tough to use on Shrader valves. This head worked great on the inflator. I was able to put the hose insert and nut from this new head on the inflator’s hose and it worked like a charm.I tried it on at least three different brand Presta valves, and a couple different Shrader valves and this head locked up on them with no problem. No air leaking. And it was actually quite easy to push the head onto the valves and pull out the lever, it didn’t take as much force as some other auto heads that I’ve used.

Ordered this Planet Bike head again but what I received is different from the picture shown and what I got in 2021: small hose diameter and separate Schrader and Presta holes.I returned it.I discovered that my Planet Bike pump head 2021 can be repaired with a TCPG “pump head rubber grommet” available from Serfas for reasonable shipping.

My Joe Blow head broke and I bought this to replace the head. I popped the head off the hose and connected into the Joe Blow hose. It was a simple job. I have bikes with both Shraeder and Presta and I find the head works better than the original Joe Blow. It gives a better fit and easier to connect. FYI, the hose connection will not fit the Joe Blow hose connection.

Needed to fix my floor pump. My pump is a Topeak Joe Blow Sport. Hose fitting doesn't fit the hose attachment on either side, however I was able to remove the pump side hose fittings from the hoses. The hoses are the same inside diameter. I inserted the Topeak fittings on the Planet hose, then attached the hose to the pump.I wanted the clean stock look but you don't have to drive yourself crazy. I have spare tubes, attached head to one it pumped up the tube. On the bike is a different story. I have short valves currently on my bike. The Planet head is a pain to latch on short Presta valves when tube is flat. Once on you can fill the tube. However if you move the head sideways a little air leaks out at valve/head attaching point. The Planet hose is longer, so it shouldn't be much of a problem. I think the Topeak head is better at attaching to Presta valves, but the Planet head will work for now.

Although the description lists this as a head and hose combo all I received was the head. The head fits on the hose that came with my Bontrager pump with no issues. The head works as advertised. If you need a hose and head you may want to check into this.

My old and tired Zefal Double Shot broke its terrible hose head and after looking for a replacement I came across this Planet Bike hose and head. Now this is made as a quick and easy replacement for one of their own pumps, I thought I could make it work. So thanks to the quick Prime delivery, I had it the next day. And when I took the Planet Bike head apart, I could see that as long as it fit my Zefal hose, I could make it work. So I took off the hose insert which allows a good and leakproof fit without the need to crimp the hose. Then I cut off the crimp on my old Zefal hose, slid the tightening screw over the Zefal hose, and inserted the inner piece in my hose. The only trouble I had was that my Zefal hose is slightly bigger and it was tough to get the tightening part over the hose. This could have been eliminated by enlarging the hole but I'm lazy and figured I could get it on. Which I did so no big deal. Then I installed the head and screwed it all together. Voila!Now what I didn't figure was how well the Planet Bike head fit my Presta tubes, how well it seals completely and easily, and how easy the head lever works to tighten on the Presta valve. With my original Zefal head, every time I attached to a tube, it was very difficult and many times I would have to do it over as it would leak. Sometimes it would initially seal and then begin to leak as the pressure built up while pumping which would require a complete removal and reattachment in order to finish inflating the tube.So I'm happy with this new head and had I known how much better and easier this Planet Bike head works, I would have cut off the old one months ago even had it not broken.Never question the power of pulleys and levers; it's pure physics!Happy pumping!Pics:1) Broken Zefal head2) Inside the Planet Bike head3) Installation of the PB head4) Success...5) and happiness!

I am so happy I was able to easily replace just the hose on my 20(!) year-old floor pump, rather than having to throw the whole thing out and replace it. It works perfectly-- better than new, really.Easy to install: unscrew a plastic nut with your thumb, put the new hose on, screw the thing back on.Repair repair repair, whenever possible.Earth is dying, every new thing is a hole in the ground somewhere, all while we dig another one to throw the older thing out. More products like this, please.

does presta and schrader without changing anything, wouldnt have thought it was possible but there it is.For presta just push it on/off, for schrader push it on and turn the lever.

replaced my ageing head on joe blow pump. Vast improvement to the old head. Had to use the complete hose and swap fittings but it works
