Great and tastes great
These were great. Used them on a hiking trip and they tasted better than I expected. Just add water and done. Light weight too. I ordered more to add to my hurricane collection.

A touch too sweet. Otherwise perfect.
Product packaging arrived in perfect condition. Bought at the start of 2025, the product has an expiration of 2054. I made the package per the instructions by adding boiling water, letting it sit for 5 mins, stir and then let sit another 4 minutes. The Chili Mac came out fairly chewy, or very al dente, which is what I love. The consistency is the best part. Flavor is pretty good and tasted fresh enough, but it was a touch too sweet. I like my savory food to be savory, not sweet. Maybe 1/4-1/2 teaspoon too much sugar.This was purchased for a go-bag. The price is a little high, but the shelf life is amazing, so in comparison to other go-bag food, the Chili Mac definitely has its place. Having to add water is a bit of a drawback on the go, especially because the instructions want hot water, but it only requires 1 1/2 cup and MRE heaters are pretty good. I did not try adding room temperature water and doubling the time it sits.

Great for hiking and preparedness
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Mountain house foods are great. First used on a hiking trip to Philmont in 2015. They pack nicely, cook well and taste great. I have started storing them for any emergency that might come along.

Perfect Find for Hikers
Super easy to use, very tasty, filling. Nutritious while hiking and car camping. Good value for the money. The best mountain horse flavor too.

Delicious!
Noodles were alittle al dente, but I like my noodles alittle softer so thats maybe just my preference. Taste was amazing tho, spices on point.
