USB C Charger for MacBook Pro Air, RAVPower 90W 2-Port Wall Charger PD 3.0 GaN Type C Fast Charging Adapter Compatible with iPad Pro, iPhone 12 Mini Pro Max, Galaxy S9 S8, Nintendo Switch and More

Loving this RAVpower charger so far. Bought with my own money and not sponsored or paid to post this either.- Delivers on wattage/current.- Awesome size for what it does.- Feels durable, looks ok.- FOLDING PRONGS ON THEIR COMPACT HI-CAP CHARGER (mind blown).As noted in description, this unit arrives in a box with a plastic bag around it and nothing more.No cables, no adapters, no extensions, etc. It does work with every USB-C cable I have tried with it. (Anker, RAVpower, AmazonBasics, Choetech, Aukey, Apple). PD works wonderfully and quickly also, no weirdness on unplug/replugs.Now, prior to getting this charger my favorite was the Anker Atom PD1. That was a small 30w USB-C PD unit. It was tiny, and could charge all my gear (iPad Pro 11, iPhone XS Max & XR, and Macbook Pro 13 quad core).But the Macbook 13 was not happy when I tried to charge it with the Atom PD1. The Atom PD1 sat there "thermally unimpressed" and was equally unhappy. I was all for torture testing the Atom PD1 until failure but those darn non-folding prongs irritated me.Enter the RAVpower 61w USB-C PD Pioneer GaN. For a trivial increase in weight and volume, I can now charge *anything* in my bag at its full speed, and still don't have to worry about the adapter falling out of the outlet due to weight/size, and I barely notice the difference over the prior Anker. I also have a nice package for travel without silly non-folding prongs.For those of you reading and wondering how this compares to Apples OEM chargers, yes it is smaller than their 60 and 30w units. I added some pics to help you gauge sizes, clockwise from top:- Apple 87w- Apple 29w- Apple 61w- Anker Atom 60w PowerPort PD2- Anker Atom 30w PowerPort PD1(RAVpower dead center of them all, and I assume you can identify them properly in the linear shot).The RAVpower is thus far the best incarnation I have seen of GaN tech in these chargers and will become my "one charger" that goes everywhere with me now.This is also my first RAVpower wall charger so far, I have been using it for about a week, and if anything changes count on me updating this review.If you found this helpful - thank you. Got it today and too excited to even wait for tomorrow to write the review.It lives up to the brand name of Ravpower. The matte finish is just as nice as the 60w-level variants which are smaller than this one, and you can tell this one is a premium product right out of the box. It’s definitely bigger than most GaN 60w-level, so is the weight, but still much more compact than the 87w Apple OEM MacBook charger. It’s somehow big, but not clumsy or gigantic at all.Just to note, the 5ft C-C cable in the box is emark and capable of 100w PD, meaning you can use it for up to 90w with this charger, the rated maximum. And it has a small cable attached to it for convenient storage and management, which is SOOOO nice.I’ve done some quick tests, and all turned out pretty positive:1. Single output, at max 90w with the new MacBook Pro 16, without an issue, and it’s barely WARM, not even close to heat or hot;2. Dual output at 65+15 no problem, both my Thinkpad X1 Carbon and S10+, although to clarify, first plug of the S10+ weirdly ended up enabling the 10w after a few minutes, but replugging the phone correctly enabled the 15w PD, no idea if just an exception;3. Dual output 45+30-35, the second device being my iPad Pro 10.5 (2nd gen using the A10x chip), maxed my iPad but limited the laptop, thought it could be 60+30, guess too ideal;To note, I use the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon gen7, Samsung S10+ and iPad Pro 10.5, the MacBook Pro is my friend’s. The MBP 16’’ charges at almost 1%/min, meaning 80min can juice up to 80% if you just leave it sleep charging without backgrounds.SO, except for the fact that it’s not the most compact, which is too minor of an issue compared to its power and heat control ability, I think it’s fair to give it a 100% satisfaction rate.What’s it meant for? Well, Anyone using a 60w-level laptop and/or using an iPad Pro+iPhone/ 25w-enabled Samsung, or other phones require 20w+ charging via PD, or even the Switch which also asks for 45w.It’s priced for no compromise, and if you think you rock, then it won’t fail you.Fingers crossed to see more surprises from Ravpower, good job again!---------------------------------------------------Update Mar 11, 2020:So a few more tries show that:1. When 2 devices are connected, the Samsung S10+ will be deprioritized, reduced to 10w, no idea why Samsung and/or Ravpower do this, but this seems constant. Though to note, my S10+ is G9750, not the US variant, so may not be true to most of you guys;2. I just got the Samsung S20. 25w is not compatible, unfortunately, but 15w is pretty perfect, and not compromised w/ 2 devices connected. This is the US varint, G981U1The 20U is too expensive to go for, but I feel like the 45w might be supported. Anyone buying both plz try, quite curious abt it.-------------------------------------------------------Update Mar 21, 2020Some further things you should know1. When both laptop and iPad Pro are connected, the charger would be set as 60+12w, until the laptop is fully/stoping charging with a battery threshold setting. After that, it converts to 45+30w mode (sometimes it turns 45+12w, not sure what's the cause, seems unplugging and plugging the C-side of the L2C cable again is good). Not sure what happens if that's laptop+surface pro (or Switch, or other 45w-rated devices), as I don't have access to either. The rule SHOULD apply to iPad Air 3 and other 30w-enabled iPads (theoretically)2. When you (un)plug a cable halfway, the charger would cut the power for the existing device and then redistribute the power supply.3. As is found by other commenters, sometimes when your laptop is under heavy load, it may strangely DROP power supply, causing the battery to discharge rapidly. No idea whether it is up to the charger or the laptop's power management chip, but if you are a heavy user, this can be annoying. Though I use my X1C mainly plugged in recently, and rarely put a heavy load on it ( this was found during Windows updates), so I don't have many chances to test it out.

The first thing I noticed, when I took it out of the box was how much it weighed. This RAVPower 90W two port charger is HEAVY! It's very solid, too. The transformers and inverters in this thing must be VERY substantial. I guess they would be, supplying up to 90 Watts, if needed. It's also an intelligent charger. It will automatically adjust the voltage and amperage output to the required level of the device you are charging. Having two ports, it can charge two devices at the same required levels, without dropping it by half, and without overheating, as some lesser chargers will do. Using USB-C connectors in this charger will reduce the chance of it being stolen. Not everyone has a USB-C to USB-C cord. This is an uncommon charger, both in design and function. It's a real keeper. Five stars.

Great charging power but stopped working in about a month and a half.

Great charger, 90W single and dual port charging. Charges my Zenbook at full 65W + a mobile in parallel (10-25W). Great as a compact alternative to the bulky Asus charger. As always RAVPower products are very high quality - higher than AUKEY and Anker, and the included 1.5m USB-C cable is a great bonus.The product is new but was opened and used/tested by the seller, which I don't appreciate. But I got it at a low price and it works, so keeping it.Reduced 1 star for inaccurate description - the charge is fitted with a India/EU plug, not a foldable US plug as shown in the product listing.

Only issue I have is with the power pins layout. The India specific pins are mounted vertically and it plugs in to the wall socket sideways blocking the switches behind it.Power delivery works as advertised, 90W if just my laptop is connected, 30+60 if phone+laptop connected.

Compre este cargador, porque la verdad estaba ya harto de andar buscando opciones de terceros que terminaban siendo mejores que los originales pero no lo suficiente, habia tenido desde el original hasta alguno economico pero eficiente de Ugreen (muy bueno tambien) pero dije ya... veamos que mas hay que ademas me pueda durar por muchisimo tiempo no me importa el precio, y para mi sorpresa encontre esta maravilla, cabe aclarar que mi uso es muy simple, para dascargar datos y carga de mi telefono Samsung S8, es mucho poder para mi telefono pero mi criterio era comprarme algo muy bueno que me dure incluso para mis proximos telefonos, computadoras o cualquier equipo, y el factor tamaño me encanto, adjunte foto de la comparacion con mi mano y el cargador de samsung, el cargado se siente super premium, mas que cualquiera de samsung apple o algun tercero que haya por ahi en venta, la clavija o encufe se colapsa y se siente muy muy robusta, si me veo con este cargador muchos años mas claro si sigue funcionando ya que esta es solo mi primera impresion, tambien le compre un cable acorde a su capacidad que adjunte en fotos, es un Lention de 3 metros, al final ya por fin logre calmas esa inquitud que tenia de que si mi cargado era lento no cargaba bien o que si el cable que tenia no era suficientemente largo o fiable para carga o datos, espero a alguien le sirva esta informacion. Como ultimo dato este cargador lo compre en 564 mxn y el cable en 340 mxn

Estaba buscando un cargador PD para cargar mi laptop, y este es el mejor que existe. Los 60 W de salida son suficientes para cargar la gran mayoría de las laptops (si tu laptop es de las viejitas, basta con buscar un adaptador de barril a USB-C con PD).La ventaja es que en mi caso, no solo funciona para cargar la laptop, si no que también puedes cargar casi cualquier cosa (ipad, teléfono, monitores, etc.).Las salidas que tiene son:5V - 3A = 15 W9V - 3A = 18 W12V - 3A = 36 W15V - 3A = 45 W20V - 3A = 60W20.3V - 3A = 61WYo lo he dejado conectado para cargar mi laptop más de 5 días seguidos, y no me ha presentado ningún problema.

Me gusta como se sienten los materiales, dan sensación de calidad, eso muy compacto y carga mi MacBook Pro 13'' sin problemas. Los conectores se doblan para guardarse y funcionan correctamente.Lo compre para no cargar el cargador original de mi Mac, y me gustó más.
