1/4" High Level Measurement Microphone Capsule The CEL-259 1/4" measuring microphone capsule is designed for specialized acoustical measurements such as high noise levels up to 165 dB that excede the usual 140 dB limit of traditional 1/2" microphones. The microphone capsule is primarily used as an alternative transducer for the CEL-630 series of noise analyzers. It can also be used with the CEL-400 series since it is a pre-polarized design and does not require the normal 200V bias supply. The extended frequency response and high upper limit make the CEL-259 suitable for the investigation of impulsive or impact acoustic signals.
