Great Read .... Don't Believe the Naysayers
I pre-ordered this book, but when it arrived I put off reading it because of the early 1 star reviews. I picked it up the other night and couldn't put it down! It is fascinating, seems well-researched and includes many NAMED sources. It is nothing like the early reviews read. Most of the early negative reviews came out within HOURS of the book's release; they repeat the same catch-phrases (?); they are 1 star. Hmm, I've come to the conclusion that Meghan's friends and PR team have worked over-time discrediting this book.... which is really all the more reason to read it and begs the question: "Why?" It's a page-turner. I've found it informative, sourced with real names and quite interesting. It's also balanced and is not flagrantly biased. Isn't that indicative of good journalism? I'm only half-way thru. I'll update later.

Compulsively Readable
I like to think I resist gossip for the most part, but I seriously enjoyed this tabloid-like recounting of Meghan Markle’s impact on the Royal Family and Prince Harry, in particular. If the information is accurate, MM is as negative an influence as she has been depicted in the press for the past three years and has become a true puppet master over Harry. The Royals come across as patient, fair and long-suffering, much more so than I would have presumed. The material could really use a proper edit, but this will hopefully be addressed and corrections made in future updates. The writing doesn’t always flow well and is confusing, at times. However, the story is so entertaining, I wasn’t terribly bothered by this. The authors seem to think MM had achieved a greater level of fame than she actually did. They refer to her as the 'show's (Suits) main star' , which she was not and a 'highly successful actress' - again, no.Divided into five parts (see list below this paragraph), the book addresses all the players in the continuing drama of MM and Harry, from the history of their respective families, including some geneology, through present day. I didn’t find any new revelations in the section on Princess Diana and Prince Charles, but the story of the Middleton’s included some facts of which I wasn’t aware. MM's earlier years are covered, along with her time as an actress, as well as when/how she met her Prince...Sections in Book:1. The Divisive Duchess2. The Making of Meghan3. Royal Welcome for the Other Woman4. A Star is Born5. When Harry Met MeghanThe book is a comprehensive overview of the subject indicated by it's title, but it doesn't go into great depth. I'd say it accomplishes the expected purpose...Enjoy!

Harry and Megan are my neighbors, great book
I really enjoyed reading this book it went into detail about Mexit and why prince Harry chose the lifestyle that works for him vs Royalty this book touches on the past then brings you back up to date, also talks a lot about his mom Princess Diana some was shocking but amazing to learn Diana was an amazing woman and raised two wonderful sons with their own separate thoughts and Ideas on how they should conduct themselves in society, and as we all now know Harry chose love. I am also proud to say that he and Megan just bought a home in Montecito so they are now my neighbors I live 20 minutes from them in Ventura Calif.

BRITISH AUTHOR????
The book had some things that didn't make the news in the states. There were a number of cringeworthy errors---especially since the author is a Brit.1. Charles and Diana were NOT married in the same church as William and Catherine.2. Camilla's first husband was not ANTHONY Parker Bowles.3. Diana's step mother was NOT Raine McQuorkadale. (sic). That is the last name of her sister's husband.4. Harry and Meghan are not, have not, and never will be The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, despite being referred to as such several times by the author.Doesn't anyone proof read anymore? These errors were glaring to this American. I can't imagine someone from the UK just overlooking them.

Royals at War
Reading this book left me with even stronger feelings that Harry needed more mental health therapy than he got in his teenage years. He could at least admit a drunken chauffeur was to blame for his mother’s death more than the paparazzi that both she and Dori baited that night. If he wants to protect Meagan from the same fate, make sure your employees aren’t drunks and put your seatbelts on. And all this chatter about Meghan being the “star” of the “hit” Suits? Suits was a fun show although I gave up after the first season, but she was ranked 5th and the show itself was on am also ran cable network. It’s not like America was standing around the water cooler talking about episodes the next day — at least until she started dating Harry. For their sake I hope their marriage works but I hope Harry realizes what he has to give up to give his wife what she wants. I wasn’t in England so maybe I didn’t hear it, but I never saw all this racism that was supposedly slammed at her. If William tried to talk some sense into his brother, well that’s what big brothers try to do. Meagan came in wanting to change 1000 years of tradition and then claimed people weren’t supporting her. I will say her paternal parent and siblings are a trial but that’s no ones fault but theirs. And if you send a letter to someone, doesn’t that person then own the letter, calligraphy or not? Doesn’t seem like she can sue for a newspaper that bought it, printing it. Maybe she should sue her father for selling it.

The War Inside!!
I bought this book after reading the reviews, and was quite pleased, at first, but as I continued reading I felt as if 'Something was missing'!! I can understand how devastating the death of Princess Diana must have been for the 2 Princes, as We that are a little older, have had losses that hit you so hard, you wonder how you will cope. But, the Princes had been taught the 'BRITISH STIFF UPPER LIPS' so well, that their own feelings were kept inside their hearts and minds, to explode through at some later time, and such has been the way!! The Personalities of the Princes have allowed them to deal with things in such different ways, Prince William with help and support of Princess Katherine, and Prince Harry with the Army, and all of His Friends. But, with the entry of Megan, the situation has changed so much. She doesn't seem to be able to grasp the way feelings are handled in England, and is more interested in Herself, Her Future and Her Way Ahead. She doesn't understand the protocols and rites of the Royal Family, as it is all so different to the way things are dealt with in America. She has Her Title, Her Children and Her Prince, but what will She want next!! We ordinary Nannies and Grand-dads don't mind wet shoulders from eyes and noses, from close tight huggies, and whispers of love and caring, shared with anyone who is suffering. We don't worry about the right appearance, or our position in life, and We don't see ourselves, as just as important as the Senior Royals. They could not relate to us anymore than We could understand their way of life, or why things and people of the Royal Family do things in the ways that they do. So, what will be next?? Why did I get the feeling that something was missing?? Some under-current seemed to be flowing through the book, but it was not clear, what it was and We can only hope for the Best!! from Judy M.

Not worth the read: poorly researched and full of inaccuracies
If anyone regularly reads royal coverage in the popular media, they already have all the information and probably more, than is covered in this hastily put together, poorly researched book. Just 2 examples of errors in factual information readily available: Camilla's first husband (Andrew) is referred to as Anthony Parker-Bowles; the Christmas lunch Meghan was invited to by the Queen which was unprecedented because the rule was only to invite married partners was held in 2017 and not in December 2018 as noted in the book which was a full 8 months following Meghan and Harry's wedding. As if this doesn't undermine the credibility of the information being presented enough, the book is also poorly structured, repetitive and takes over 340 pages to the get to the point suggested by the book's title. Reading royal biographies and tell-alls is my guilty pleasure and I have read and enjoyed many - this one is not worth the read, contains nothing new - rehashing far too much worn-out about Charles and Diana, and lacks the final fact checking of information clearly in the public domain. Not worth the read. Shame.
