Compass 27" Round Braided Area Rug Carpet Mat

This is an attractive rug. The color and design is what I wanted for a small reading nook to “warm it up”. From a distance it actually does look like a more expensive braided rug.Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. The compass pattern is only painted on to the surface of the rug. This is certainly not a rug you will want to walk on very much. It wouldn’t be long until the design is worn away. Attached is a close-up photo of the painted design as well as another photo showing that the pattern does not go all the way through.While the rug serves my purpose to be used in a corner of the room that won’t be subject to heavy foot traffic, the overall quality is more on a par with what you would find at the dollar store for about ten bucks. The primary reason the rating is only an “average” 3-stars is that it is a low-quality rug being sold at about twice what it’s worth.

Only drawback is it collects dirt, and shows it. Would buy another one if necessary, but maybe a different color.
