Preferred steps had more width
Good material and light to handle. I do think the steps should have a bit more width to it. I also put some black tape around to help my dog to focus more when using the step.

ready to use
I bought these steps for my 12 year old pug, he struggles to jump on and off the sofa, but, unfortunately, he doesn’t use the steps.I’ve tried all sorts of things, but, he’s just not interested, maybe in time, so i’m back to lifting him off and on still.Good value for money though, look very nice and good service and fast delivery.

Really useful for a blind cat, just one problem
I bought these for my (now passed) cat after she went blind. She lost her sight suddenly, so didn’t have a transitional period of slowly getting used to life without sight.I ordered these on the day she lost her sight, and they arrived the next day. While she was confident about jumping up onto the bed without sight (after a couple of days of getting used to blindness) she was deeply anxious about leaping off the bed into the unknown. (Which is absolutely understandable.) So she developed a one-way system and used to jump up onto the bed, but walked down the stairs. The only times she walked up the stairs were in the final 24 hours of her life when she was too weak to make the big jump up onto the bed.The only fault I could find with these stairs is that when she first got them - while she was getting used to being blind and getting used to a piece of furniture she’d never seen - a couple of times she tried sprinting down the steps without checking there was a step beneath her paw before transferring weight onto that paw: And ended up falling off the side of the steps.Thankfully cats are resilient, even when they’re old, blind, and terminally ill, so she was fine after both falls; and she learned her lesson to take the steps slowly and always make sure there was a step beneath her paw before transferring weight onto that paw.But the falls could’ve been avoided if the steps had a little cat-sized bannister to stop her falling off the edge.Like I said, falling off the side of the steps didn’t do her any harm because she was falling from such a low height; and it taught her the lesson not to sprint down the steps. She only fell the twice before learning to be careful. But if the steps had a little bannister she could feel against her side to know where the edge was, she could’ve joyfully sprinted down the steps as fast as she liked without falling. So that’s the only thing I’d change about these, I’d add a cat/small dog-sized bannister to act as a guide rail for blind pets. That, and the colour. It’s bad enough that so many human disability aids come in this shade of beige; without pet mobility aids coming in the same colour. Being disabled - for humans or pets - doesn’t need to be such a dull beige. Being disabled can be bright, colourful, and fashionable (I love the shade of my purple crutches, and my blue walking stick with daisies on it is adorable; though I tend to get black wheelchairs so they go with any outfit); so it’d be nice to see these steps come in a more attractive colour since it’s a piece of furniture that takes up space in your home. Though obviously the user of this particular set of steps never saw them so she had no complaints about the colour; they were taking up space in my bedroom and I wish they’d gone with the colour scheme a bit better.

Great for our small pets
Great value for money, no assembly as it is in the picture, I bought it for a small dog of 15years old who can’t jump on the furniture or bed anymore, now he is in his eliment can get up and off the bed and sofa. We’ll worth every penny. 😄

My cat can now get back up to the window again!
This product is wonderful for your cat or dog who is aging & can't jump up so much. My indoor cat can now torture the birds again!

Lightweight but sturdy
I have a little diva for a dog. She decided she was too much of a princess to jump on the bed. She was waking me in the night when she wanted to get back on the bed after getting off the bed to have a little wander. She was easily trained with treats and it took no more than 2 nights for her to get used to the steps. She now races up the stairs to go to bed and stands there waiting for me to put the steps in place. I swear she's stands there tapping her foot as if to "say come on get on with it". Would definitely recommend to anyone else with a diva dog or one who has joint problems.

Perfect for a small dog
I've made a point of leaving a detailed review for these stairs because I want to express my gratitude to the designers/manufacturers/sellers of them, and because I hope these stairs will continue to be available to buy in the future, should I need to buy them again! When I first looked for pet stairs for my little dog years ago, all I could find of the ones suitable for small dogs (my dog is 4kg) were ones held together by flimsy plastic structures, which would easily break if you were trip over or accidentally step on them. My dog relied on one of these flimsy plastic ones for years. One of its steps even cracked, but my dog was still able to use it.I recently thought I'd see whether any alternatives were now online all these years later, as I’ve been anxious about his stairs one day breaking and becoming unusable since the day I got them. During the last few years I've even thought about having a friend make a cushion version of his stairs, so I wouldn't have to worry about the flimsy plastic structure breaking one day, but I never got round to it. I tried ordering various stairs but they were either too big, or had hard surfaces, which my dog hesitated using. (I think perhaps that feeling the fabric bounce back when he steps on it helps him gauge his position on pet steps better.)Last week I had another look online and was amazed to find these stairs, as these stairs are similar to the ones I'd thought about making myself! One reviewer said that these were an 'expensive piece of foam', but I thought I'd try them nonetheless.I'm impressed. The cover is made of a lovely thick soft material. This is great because, as mentioned, my dog won't use hard pet stairs to my bed for some reason, I think he feels less secure on them. Also the foam seems firm and sturdy, like it will last a long time, and not collapse or compress over time. The size is very similar to his previous pet stairs (again, pet stairs of these dimensions, for small dogs, are incredibly hard to find - I’d even tried cat stairs but they’d tended to be made of coarse fabrics and had more space between them, as cats could enjoy that type of thing, being scratchers and jumpers).I have to disagree with the previous review. This is not 'just' an expensive piece of foam - it's well made - and it has a removable and washable cover, which is of miles higher quality than the halfway cover provided with the previous flimsy pet stairs we've had, which were made of very thin fabric, and which would constantly be slipping off of the stairs and require adjustment. There’s no risk of the cover for these stairs slipping down as the cover doesn’t just hang on a flimsy structure, it actually goes all the way around the stairs and is zipped up.I also like that these stairs don’t have sharp corners that you or your dog could hurt yourself against. The flimsy stairs that my dog’s been relying on for years has pokey corners, though I suppose my dog and I haven’t hurt ourselves on them yet because the structure is so flimsy, it tends to move around if you bump into it, instead of stick into you. Still it’s annoying, occasionally bumping into an edge of the stairs, I like that these are soft. And best of all - I don't have to worry about these stairs having a structure that will break or snap, like the stairs my dog has relied on until this.I would like to say a massive thank you to the people who designed and made these stairs. They’re just what I wanted when I looked for pet stairs years ago, but I couldn't find them in existence then! You've made the perfect stairs for my little dog. Thank you!
