Sophie Approved ~ We LOVE! With UPDATE!
UPDATE: October 23, 2017:Last week, I had to leave the living room. Sophie was chewing her blue Kong rubber bone so since I was only going to be out of the room for a minute...I had no problem leaving her there.Sound strange? Not if you have a really nosy, SNEAKY bulldog who gets into almost anything!! So I cam back in the room, and Sophie was sitting on her couch bed chewing her blue bone. Before I go on - I have to say I'm a big fan of coloring books and have all kinds of pencils, markers and gel pens.WELL. Somehow, my Sophie found a Metallic Blue PERMANENT Marker <that I bought from Amazon>, and SNEAKILY started chewing it behind the blue bone so I couldn't see it when I cam back in the room. I just thought she was chewing the bone...UNTIL - she came over to my couch and jumped up, sat down, and stared at me. It took doing a double take to see my Sophie now had blue feet and a blue mouth! I freaked...thought ""OMG what kind of bone leaks the color" and went to throw it away, when I saw it. She ate the s*** out of that pen!! It was in pieces. All over her couch bed. Then I freaked thinking she poisoned herself. After a really good inspection - there wasn't one little blue spot in her mouth..amazingly! But - the couch bed didn't fare as well. See photo below!! I also put a few of Sophie so you could see her paws and her "Jabbles" <that's what we call them anyways>. BLUE Permanent Ink!!! ACKKkkWell - I cleaned up the pen parts, took the fabric off the bolsters and bed and tossed it in the washing machine, hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Well...to my surprise <and a ton of OxiClean Max Force Laundry Stain Remover Spray 12 ounce (pack of 1) > everything came out PERFECT! No blue stains whatsoever. There is one spot that has just a tinge of blue...but that's it. I don't have to throw the couch bed away and I LOVE this even more now. I mean - WHO ever gets permanent ink out of anything?!!!<This also speaks a lot for Oxy Max Force Stain Remover!!!These are the markers I bought on Amazon that she chewed: Write Dudes Infinity Metallic Permanent Markers 8-Count Assorted Colors (CYB80) JULY 7 2017:I'm always looking for things our Bulldog Sophie would like to play with, or use as a bed. We have a dog bed in our bedroom, one in her kennel, and one in our living room. The one in the living room is what I replaced with this one.Sophie is an English / American Bulldog mix and she weighs 89 pounds, which is fairly big for a bulldog. She looks just like an English but has the energy of an American.Sophie is a very, VERY aggressive chewer. She doesn't care if it's her Antlers, daddy's really expensive cowboy boots, my WAY expensive Harley Davidson boots, or any of her beds. We used to buy her furry toys but stopped after spending $5 - $10 on a stuffed toy and she eats it in less than a minute. Every time I get her a bed...she just HAS to chew it. She has ruined others that cost a whole lot more than this one, but so far she's only chewed it for a few seconds then she laid on it.This Jumbo Sofa Bed came in a huge box, and had plastic wrapped around it. I thought the bed would have a strong smell to it as it is Suede, but once out of the packaging, it had no smell. Still, I wanted to wash the cover before she got to use it.I washed it in my washing machine on Gentle - COLD water. I let it air dry and when it was just about dry...I put it in the Dryer for 10 minutes with softener sheets to make it softer and smell really good.I had absolutely no problem putting the cover back on. I was concerned the fuzzy fabric would shed a lot, like a few other ones I got her did, but it only shed minimally.I put the Sofa in our living room just after dinner, and she went right to it...sat on it, and started to play/chew it. She stopped after maybe a minute...but she did no damage to the sofa. No holes, rips or tears. She just lays on it now. <we think her chewing is her way of testing everything!>Sophie really likes the Bolsters. She lays her head on them, and when she falls asleep she sinks down onto the fur part and rolls on her back <which is hilarious to see...arms & legs straight in the air...head stuffed in a corner.>. OK so the Bolsters aren't super firm...but that's OK because Sophie doesn't like them hard. And, yes she has a bog ole heavy head and the Bolsters may squish down after a while...but I'll worry about it when/if we get there. The Egg Crate "Mattress" is perfect for Sophie. She has a bad hip from playing in her pool...she slipped on the grass when she was about a year old and ever since she has a little limp when she over does it. So far...she's been laying on this Sofa for hours at a time and is perfectly happy. When the Egg Crate runs out of gas...I'll go to the store and buy another one and cut it down and stuff it in the cover....NO Egg Crate "Mattress" lasts a long time. I know because I use one every single day on our bed. <I broke my neck and back in the military and these "mattresses" are a huge help to me>. If Sophie seems to be uncomfortable - I'll just buy one, cut it to size and stuff it under the one already there to give her added support. But for now she seems very comfortable! Another option is, if you and your pet really like this Sofa Bed...you can buy Seat Replacement Foam and cut it down to size to fit...I did this for a couch of our that the cushions were really cheaply made...and it worked perfectly. Amazon sells Seat Replacement Foam.Sophie has extremely thin hair, and when she goes outside for longer than 15 minutes - we have to put sunscreen on her as she burns very quickly. And due to such thin hair, she is ALWAYS cold inside. The furry part of this Sofa is perfect! I usually put her "blanky" down for her, but she has yet to go near it.Now - I read quite a few reviews and there are a lot of negative ones - my dog was digging and it is in pieces....my dog chewed it and now it's useless...it's not the Sofa's fault your dog chewed or dug it and ruined it!! There are NO dog chewer proof fabrics in this world...and I've spent a lot of time and a TON of money looking and buying things that say "For Aggressive Chewers"...HA! They haven't met my Bulldog!!Also...if you received a dirty Sofa...try contacting the Seller or Amazon and have it replaced BEFORE you write a negative review. Sometimes stuff happens and all is not as perfect as it should be. If your item gets replaced and you get a beautifully clean item..THEN write a review and tell us all about it. I can't stand it when people write negative reviews on things that have NOTHING to do with the actual item...or they write bad things about something they could have fixed...and didn't. And if you just don't like something...don't put a negative review...not everything is going to be to our liking...that doesn't mean it's the items fault! And yes, I do know there are items out there that just plain old should never have been made. This Sofa Pet Bed, in my HONEST opinion...is not one of the bad ones. I'm sure there are better ones out there...but I bought this one. It has what I was looking for for my dog, the price was right, it got here on time and in excellent condition, and most importantly of all...my baby LOVES her new Sofa Bed. And because of that - I'm a happy person!I definitely recommend this for a dog or cat...or even your pet pig...whatever your pet is <as long as it's not an Alligator or Elephant>, and definitely recommend the Seller. Thanks FurHaven!

Worth the money--Dogs Love it
We bought the Jumbo Plus Kilim Brown with the Cooling Gel Foam mattress. We have had this dog bed for two years now and it has held up well with 120 Lb old style Labrador Retriever sleeping in it. Large and fit at 120 Lbs he still has a little extra room in this bed. He spends a lot of hours in it every day so it gets the use. This thing is easy to disassemble and clean. The bolster inserts seem to be well made and they're easy to remove when it's time to wash the cover. This thing is better made than some dog beds because the way the zippers are installed it's as though someone actually thought about the homeowner wanting to take it apart, wash it and reassemble it. This is a farm dog and he's not real clean, but I don't see stuff getting through the cover and in to the inside of the cover. FYI when we vacuum the living room we just go ahead and vacuum the dog bed too. It holds up fine. This color is good about not showing dirt.We recently acquired another dog and we bought the same thing for her, just the next smaller size.

Not what I was expecting but they seem to like them
I have about 10 decent dog beds always looking for a better one. They have a couple of favorite. This looks a little weak compared to their favorites. The cushioning in the sides is hardly even there must have been downsized for bidenflation. The material while soft to touch isnt likely to hold up to their nails. They have bad habits of putting little nicks in this fabric then they pull apart. The foam layer for a 70 lb dog feels thin under their body. They get warm while sleeping on leather couch at night so thought this might be a cooler sleep experience for my old pups. If this bed holds up and or is adopted as one of their favorites I will more than happily update review but first impressions were a bust.Been a few days and maybe it location or maybe just the beds are comfortable but both pups are using. The second one came days late by ups and when I laid it out she laid down on it next to my other pup. So bumped up a star. Now I will see how well they hold up to their teflon nails.

Good price
This little bed is smaller than what i thinked it would be, it is useful, the price is good but it is not very large at least not the size that i bought, maybe it will help other customers if i put the details just in case they want to know if it will be ok for their dogs, my dog is a pomeranian it is not a baby but it is not the kind of pomeranians that are large it is a small pomeranian, so maybe this will help, my dog can use the bed but it would be a better option a larger one, the product is good this review is to help other customers to check the size before choosing, the bed have a zipper so if any customer is concerned about their dog chewing the zipper check that detail God bless everyone !

Comfortable base, poor bolsters
My 7 year old pup was just diagnosed with lymphoma so I found myself looking to replace her beds with something more supportive/orthopedic. I purchased the jumbo plush bed with a memory foam insert. It arrived squished up in a large box which I thought was kind of strange but it did flatten out quickly. The base/ bed is really comfortable memory foam. I stood on it and couldn’t feel the floor. It’s also very soft and plush. The bolsters are extremely flimsy. I don’t know if it’s just the bed I received but they are almost deflated/ missing the stuffing that should be inside them. I read a ton of reviews/ looked at peoples pictures but never noticed the bolsters looking so deflated. My dog immediately chose this over her current bed and she looks so comfy. For reference she is a 42 pound German shepherd mix and this is what she looks like on the jumbo. It’s very big but she likes to stretch out. Take this as your incentive to buy your dog the expensive, orthopedic bed you keep looking at…. You never know what tomorrow holds.

More looks than substance for longterm use but liked by the dogs
**Updated below** This bed looks very nice and is a great size. I ordered it as an Xmas present for my dogs Dec 2017 when my first choice of memory foam bed was going to be out of stock for some time. This was was a bit cheaper (but not cheap!) and still had a nice colour choice and waterproof washable cover. However, the foam is very light weight "egg box" type foam and not at all supportive to a large dog. Light use for just a few months has caused many of the pointed bits of the foam inside to sheer off. (I've only removed and washed the cover once) The cover did wash well. The separate bolster around the bed is made with and contained in horrid cheap material and horse hair ?? like fibres, but it was easy to stuff backninto the cover after washing and the dogs do love the bolster around the edge.1 medium and 2 small dogs fit on this well sized bed.I would recommend it if it's on offer (It's not cheap for the materials used and certainly is not qualitu foam or memory foam) but not for old dogs as there is no support, it's far too soft. Would also not withstand chewing or lots of accidents as the cover is thin. It is attractive and soft though. I can't see it lasting for years, but makes an attractive 2nd or extra bed, or it could sit on a large sofa.**Update Feb 2021**Well about 12 months ago I replaced the awful foam and bolster with cut to size memory foam ordered online (This is a great way to get a quality dog bed!!) so I've carried on using the cover, as the dogs really like the "sofa" style of it. The cover is really on its last legs now though to be honest, and will soon be unusable (holes/zips going). However as I replaced the foam myself I will at least have the inners for a bed left!

Fur Haven, more lik Fur Heaven
I bought this item because my dog is a senior, I want to protect her from sleeping on a could floor.Clearly from the picture of Lyla shows that she loves her new bed, I tested the importance of this bed by moving the bed location, Lyla watched the move and continued to use the bed in the new location, as a consumer I am happy, Lyla is happy, I would highly recommend this product.Satisfaction factor 100%

Nice looking bed that won’t stand the test of time
Looks great but the product hasn’t withstood my dog. The zipper should really be encased so the dog can’t chew the stitching. Random holes have started showing around the seams. The foam also bog standard foam - nothing orthopaedic about it from what I can tell. A waste of money!!

Poor quality
I bought this cover to replace one of a different colour. This is really poor quality and has gone into holes and treads come loose all over. My dog isn't a chewer or scratcher, just likes sleeping all day, so it hasnt even had heavy use. Only had it on his bed for a month or so and it looks so tatty already. Really not worth the money. Not suitable material for a dog bed by any means.
