Good on Concepts Bad on Examples
The author is good about explaining the concepts that underlie the Spring Framework, but bad on showing the reader how to implement them in code. The examples are not clear and often lead to more questions than they answer. It's a real let down because after reading about the concept, you want to try it out, but it's hard to do that using the examples in the book.

Excellent Book!
I recommend this book this to all as this book is very easy to understand and step by step incremental approach to increase the knowledge gradually. A great book for mastering Spring 5.

You wont master anything with this book.
The progression is tedious. Sure he walks you through configurations and dependencies but the project examples are so basic or have no real functionality to be of any use. There is nothing effective about this book as a guide to build enterprise applications because the book doesn't even come remotely close to building anything enterprise related.

Buon libro

Unprofessional presentation, pointless sample code.
The text describes progressive per chapter projects but the sample code is just one monolithic version that doesn't compile!Nearly impossible to follow the progression without decent sample project code that works for each progression. This is a complex topic and clarity is absent in the presentation. One of the worst books I've come across on the subject. This publication was rushed and devoid of any clarity. A poor effort and seems like the author was just plain lazy about any quality checks whatsoever.I'd recommend this as a second or third book on the subject.
