Danger Girl: Mayday

This Danger Girl series marked the return of a major character who was presumed dead at the end of the original series. That character was Natalia Kassle, a Danger Girl who was later to be revealed as a double-agent for the Hammer Empire, the villain group in the original Danger Girl series.Natalia was mainly the focus of this story, so we didn't get to see Abbey, Sydney or even Sonya until the final chapter/issue. The main plot dealt with Natalia recovering her memory of who she was. She worked with the main antagonist of the story who tried to get her to think certain things. They did work together on some missions, though.I liked how the main antagonist from "The Chase" appeared at some points. There was even some interaction between her and Natalia at some point, with the woman saying that they worked together and such. I did have a minor problem, though. Although Natalia was primarily the protagonist of the series, I kind of wondered how to interpret the ending as. I am not going to spoil anything, you just have to see for yourself. All I can say is that I hope it won't be long until Andy Hartnell writes another Danger Girl story. Maybe we'll see the reunion of Natalia and the rest of the Danger Girl team.

Danger Girl, created by J. Scott Campbell and Andy Hartnell is a great comic book and characters. The original series is the absolute best roller coaster ride with lots of cliffhangers and beautiful illustrations by J. Scott Campbell.All other Danger Girl books after the original series have not been as good but honestly are solid easy reads that are fun and entertaining.With that, I have to honestly recommend any Danger Girl book.People often discuss how perfect Danger Girl would be if optioned for a TV series or major motion picture movie. A lot of people have compared Danger Girl to the TV series "She Spies" and Pamela Anderson's "V.I.P." and there's truth to some similarities in having an All-Girl, sexy and sassy espionage adventure with bits of comedy thrown into the action. However, if executed properly, Danger Girl could be a great franchise that jumps from the comic books to TV/Film.

This series focuses on Natalia, one of the original Danger Girls. There's not a lot of the new Danger Girls until the end. It's a good story, but wish there could have been more of the current Danger Girls....

I was happy to finally add this paperback to my Danger Girl Collections.I am a big fan of this on going series of adventure comics consisting ofHOT, brave and independent women.

One of the best DG stories so far. I cannot wait for the next instalment.
