Its ALIVE again
Was not an easy job, but doable. The most difficult part was to remove the old broken spider out of the drum, the bolts were all gunky and ended up having to remove the 3 plastics internal to the drum that cover the nuts for the spider bolts. The secong biggest challenge was to reinstal the gasket to the front of the machine, using the ring with the spring turned out to be an impossibel task, there is a special tool to expand, that if you buy will nevr use again. I ended up streching the spring beiyond specs , to make it work I used an single electric wire around the gasket with some knots holding it togheter.

Good value
Perfect replacement. I estimate the total time it took to replace this part was 1.5-2 hours. When you think about the cost of replacing your machine as opposed to fixing it, this isn’t a bad option. Additional items needed: new seal(tub), bearings?? Plastic ties

Nice replacement part / Decent price
Product fit perfectly as a replacement part for my 10 year old LG washer. I did have an issue with how the product was shipped. Very little protective padding on actual part and it was sent in a box nearly 2x wider than item. This allowed item to slide back and forth during shipping. There was no protective packaging inside box and it could have easily been damaged. Thankfully it wasn’t. Also this part can be fairly difficult to replace… especially on older units and the shaft will be stuck/ seized inside tub bearings and it definitely does not come out very easy. Required a lot of pounding and penetrating oil to free it. If you aren’t the type that’s mechanically inclined I would recommend hiring a professional to repair.

Saved our washer!
The spider arm completely disintegrated in our 14 yr old machine. No repair service would likely touch it for less than several hundred dollars, so I took on the challenge myself. Job is not all that complicated, but does require almost completely disassembly of the machine and drum assembly. I also replaced the shock absorbers while I was in there. Probably should have replaced the bearings too, but they were in decent shape and I was time constrained. Anyhow, now it is spinning away quietly like a new machine.
