High Quality and a Breeze to Install
Some things seem expensive at first glance but are worth the money. This plug is one of them. I'm guessing that many will balk at the cost like I did, but I took a chance based on the reviews and am glad I did. Everything is solidly made and the included parts make wiring a simple, no-fuss task. One thing I learned: if you live in a hot climate, don't leave the heat-shrink tubing lying about on the deck while you're working. (I discovered that South Texas sunshine will take care of the heat shrinking for you). Hopefully others will benefit from my mistake and avoid an extra trip to the hardware store.

Very Heavy Duty
This is the most heavy duty high quality trolling motor plug available. Period. It is a beast! Super easy to install with all included hardware. I am confident that I will never have an issue with this plug. Everything is water tight and super high quality. The price is high but once you see this thing you’ll understand why. I am so happy I spent the money on this because it really helped complete a quality install on my Terrova

Great connector for minn kota
This plug was a nice addition to my Minn Kota Rip tide for my pontoon boat. Gives us a safe connect/disconnect when taking of the trolling motor to launch and recover the boat.Great quality. The expense was a bit high but other that I would purchase another for my Tracker when I am ready to upgrade the trolling motor.

This thing is a beast
I typically don’t write reviews and at first I thought this plug was way too expensive. Then I received it and it is massive. The pictures do not do it justice. I had a marineco trolling motor plug for years. Those things cost about $50 and are very cheaply designed. The Minn Kota plug is sturdy, solid wiring instructions and waterproof. I would recommend this plug to everyone with a trolling motor. I have a MK 112 36v 87”.

This item is well worth the money....
I am impressed with the quality of this item, even though I was at first a little shy about paying $119 for it. Everything part of this is quality made, with heavy-duty wiring and connectors. The instructions were as good as instructions can get and were easy to follow and full of tips and just well written. Install was a breeze with all the parts and connectors all included with the product. Tested it on the water and I now have a plug and wiring that can handle the amps my 24volt trolling motor puts requires.

Very good quality, heavy duty
While this trolling motor plug is very expensive it is well built and includes all wiring accessories needed for proper installation. This is a good choice for 24 / 36 volt trolling motors. It is important to note the boat mounted side of the plug requires at least 4 to 6 inches of clearance behind the mounting surface.

High quality product
Ease of installation would depend on your skill level with wiring and hand tools. I did not use the step up/down clamp sleeves for the wires. The fact that you can clock the receptacle in several positions is very is very nice. Minn Kota should be ashamed charging so much for this product. I believe they could gain many more product fans, by making these more affordable for the WORKING man!

Excellent design and well thought out product.
The main feature for me was the water tight connection. I had previously gone through at least three other trolling motor plugs. They failed due to corrosion. I fish 90% in fresh water but also fish at least twice a year in salt water. The salt water is brutal for most connectors. While my plug hasn't been installed for very long, it has been exposed to salt water already. The connection is still very tight and I seem to have a constant supply of power to my trolling motor. The Minn Kota plug is expensive in comparison to other plugs but, in my opinion, it is well worth the additional investment.
