Not disappointed
I've had and tried a lot of headphones over the years. The original Apple buds were very good in terms of sound quality but, as everyone knows, would not stay in your ears or even fit lots of people. The second round of Apple buds were awful. I had tried some others as well, Phillips (as bad as I expected) and numerous others, and then tried some Bose - a generation earlier than these. Quality sound reproduction is essential, which they had, and the rubber attachments to keep them in one's ear worked extremely well. It was a no-brainer and I used them for years until, as others have noted from time to time, I got shorts in the wiring where it joins the ear plug. Sad to say but, hey, I really got my money's worth and I've had decades of experience with wiring. Stuff like that happens. If it happens within a year, then that's a problem but two or three years, not so much. Anyway, I bought some Beats Tour2 buds from Apple and they fit fairly well (bulky) but the sound quality was not up to par - thin, bass rolloff starting in the lower midrange, and little stereo breadth. My musical likes run all over the place: trip hop, house, jazz, rock, classical, Old School. I would have thought it would be suited for one of those genre but it didn't. This version of Bose has the quality of sound I want, they're lighter and more natural feeling than the Beats buds. Quality feel also. Highly recommend them to anyone who likes music and not just a beat.

These are hands down the best phone headset I've tried
I love good sound, and I want strong bass tones and no tinny top notes. These deliver. My husband couldn't understand how a little wired headset could be better than a cheaper version until I made him try them. He now wears these, as well. They are that much better. I've read several comments that actually downgrade their rating because these don't cancel the outside noise, but they are obviously not paying attention - this headset is not supposed to cancel outside noises. They are NOT NOISE CANCELLING. If that's what you want, get a different headset. These are made so you can hear what's going on around you while you talk or listen to music or a book or whatever. I can wear these all day long, sit at my desk and work, answer my phone, hear office noises, listen to an audible book, and I can also drive and hear traffic and sirens, carry on a conversation, whatever. I think it's very dangerous to drive or jog without being able to hear traffic, and these fill all my needs. They are totally comfortable to the point you forget you have them on, and I can even sleep in them without my ear getting sore because I laid on the earbud. I can't recommend these highly enough.

Amazing product
I have been using these for the gym for the past few years. The recent price drop on is absolutely amazing. When I first got these headphones they were ~150 dollars and now being able to pick them up for 50 dollars is a steal! Such good sound quality and most importantly for me they are durable and fit my ears well while working out. Very comfortable and not bulky like some of the other sport headphones out there. The only cons is that I have gone through about 5 pairs in the past 3 years (which is actually better than other brands I have had). I broke one while squatting at the gym, lost one pair, had one pair stolen (thanks to whoever broke into my car) and one pair that I use as a spare had the audio connections break internally and only one side works. So mostly my fault and I do put my headphones through quite a bit. Absolutely love these and great buy for 50 dollars!

Great Earbuds if Used for Their Purpose
The Bose SoundSport headphones are great for what they are intended for. These earbuds have a very "open" design, allowing sounds around you to be heard. This is useful when running or exercising, as music does not completely drown out outside noises that you might want to hear, especially for safety. Bose sells the SoundTrue Earbuds if you are looking for a noise-isolating headphone to keep out outside sounds with the same earbud design. I enjoy these earbuds for their comfort and ease of use. The flexible gel tips stay in your ear well and you hardly notice that these are in your ears one you put them on. Additionally, the mic and controls work well and the buttons are easy to locate by feel. When working out or running, the earbuds stay in place very well and don't fall out or move around. The sound quality on these is great. Other reviewers are right about the bass - it isn't very strong or pounding using the included tips, but this is to be expected. Bass cannot be stronger without eartips that seal off outside noise. Because of this, the bass is as good as possible for this design of an earbud. It is still present, just not pounding. Mids and highs are very clear. These earbuds lose one star for durability. As others have noted, the areas where the cords meet the earbuds and the 3.5mm jack, as well as where the left and right earbud join, are not strong connections. Bose should have added reinforcement to these connections considering that they are aimed at "sport" use. I haven't used mine enough to notice wear and tear, but it is a cause for concern. Overall, I purchased these as a replacement and upgrade for Apple EarPods, as I wanted earbuds that allow me to hear outside noises and stay in my ear while exercising, all while offering better sound quality. For this, they are great. If you are looking for earbuds simply for sound, I recommend the Shure SE-215s instead, as they are an absolute steal for price and sound quality. If you buy these for the reasons I've listed, you won't be disappointed.

I really enjoy these earbuds
I picked these up on sale for over half off, so for the price, I am overly enthusiastic about them. I mainly were these when I am in the gym, hiking, or mountain biking, so I am not sensitive to sound during these times as I am using music to push me further, not so I can enjoy musical compositions and hear everything in the song. For pure music enjoyment, I utilize a set of Sony MDR-7506 professional studio headphones. Overall, these are comfortable and durable earbuds that I do not mind keeping in my ears. They stay in place, even during vigorous trail running and enduro mountain biking. The sound produce is clear with an even tone and they even take phone calls well. I am highly satisfied with using these for their intended purpose and believe Bose has created a quality product with these. Hopefully they will continue to make wired earbuds as I am not a fan off BT anything.

Amazing not-effected-by-moves product
It's amazing, i bought it May 2016 and just today 12th Sept 2019 it stopped working totally, few days back only one side was working and i have to move the plug in order for both to work but today it totally stopped working. About me, i am a heavy workout player, lifting weights, aerobics advance workout, & circuit. So i am total heavy athlete player, despite it stopped working one in a sudden, i do believe that every product has an expiry date (even us human die) and this is one of my favorite headphones since 2010 when it was out and when i saw it in Japan. Till this day i do recommend this one to any athlete who loves quality and heavy duty products. Furthermore, I reviewed their other (none sport) headphone which wasn't made for workout (green one) and just now i realized why it's wires got ripped. However, this one here is top notch and i heavily recommend it for those who believes wireless hurts the brain and into wired heavy sport workout headphones like myself. Btw, i reordered this one again 2 days back, can't hardly wait for it to reach me. And whomever know any sport headphones with noise cancellation that is wired and for heavy workouts, then please share, i don't mean the one like the size of this product here but the one that covers the full ear. Thanks.

Burned again (update to prior review)
To be fair this is more of a 3 1/2 star review. I consider myself somewhat of an audiophile. I am a Bose fan and have been for several years. I have had several home theater systems, sound wave systems, portable speaker systems, etc. going back several years. I first tried their earbuds a number of years ago and was (to my surprise) disappointed in the sound quality, something I never thought I'd say about a Bose product. The earbuds did not form a good "seal" in my ear and let too much ambient noise in causing a less-than-stellar audio experience. I tried them again two more times in recent years and experienced the same thing. I had all but given up on Bose earbuds but decided to give these a shot because I desperately want to like them and hoped that Bose had upped their game. My verdict..."meh." While better than past versions I still am left disappointed in the lack of bass from a $100 set of earbuds. Not ear-popping, thumping bass, but rich fulfilling lows. I'll probably keep these only because I'm tired of sending them back. I must say that after trying several brands of earbuds nothing compares to Monster's audio sound. Clear highs, rich lows. Too bad their durability is lacking. I will say that I've had a pair of the Monster Achieve wireless earbuds for the past 6 months and, honestly, they are some of the best earbuds I've ever owned...And for nearly 1/2 the price of these wired buds they are a bargain. I also just purchased a pair of Monster Clarity buds at the airport for a recent flight and again, impressed by the audio quality. I use these in the gym without any problems. However, when running outdoors I cannot find a decent pair of wireless buds that hold their bluetooth connection for the duration. Suggestions welcome. UPDATE July 19: It is has been shy of 1 month having used these earbuds, roughly a total of 15 - 5mi outdoor runs in the TX heat. They are done. First sign was when they decided to turn on by themselves randomly at max volume while sitting on the counter while still connected to the iPod (this happened in the middle of the night twice.)... Then the volume would randomly increase to max high then max low while mid-run. Then the static started in the left bud and gradually worsened. The remote is completely responsive now.. I tested on 2 different iPods. Luckily it's within 2 days of return status...Hopefully I can return these without issue.

Sound quality is good, but that is to be expected at the price
The delivery was done through secure locker mechanism that I encountered for the first time. I hope that prevents fraudulent deliveries for high price items. I am using the headphones for more than a week now and can say their sound quality is good. Considering the size and weight of the headphones, they produce surprisingly good bass. The frequency range also seems to be pretty good. My only concern is the wire used on these headphones. It seems delicate and I am sure I will probably be destroying the same within the next 6 months. Lets see.

Super comfortable, decent sound quality
I ended up buying these apple earphones despite the fact that I use android because they were on sale, and half the price of the android variant. Because of that, I can use neither the microphone or the media controls, so I can't speak on to how well they work (I knew that before I bought them, and the $50 savings was worth giving that up). However, I am very happy with these headphones so far. They are by far and away the most comfortable earphones I have ever used. Every single other pair I've worn has been uncomfortable immediately or after like 10 minutes. This is the first of this "wing style" ear-tips that I've used, and they are night and day difference between the two styles. I don't know how they compare to other brands with the same style though. Due to the design the actual earpiece that emits the noise isn't jammed into your ear-canal, so it doesn't block out sound like standard earphones. I imagine these would be absolutely horrible on public transit, however I generally only use these for working out so that ain't an issue to me. The sound is better than any other in-ear earphones I've used, but these are also the most expensive I've used, so that isn't surprising. The sound quality is good, not amazing. These aren't close to my over-ear audio technicas, but expecting that from in-ear earphones would be unrealistic. I can easily wear these for hours on end without feeling discomfort, and that to me is the most important thing. I'm going on a tree planting contract in a few weeks, and will be wearing these all day 6 days a week rain or shine doing manual labour outdoors for around 3 months, and I'll live in a tent for the entire contract, so if these have issues with humidity & the elements I'll find out. I'll update it after that in regards to durability and any issues that may arise during that period. This will probably be one of the most demanding tests possible. Update will come in July
