They are very comfortable but are synthetic and not cotton so lack any absorbancey. I find them a little on the large size but that could be due to the shape of my figure. Please bare in mind that they do not have a stitched in gusset. Personally I would invest in proper period pants which are readily available okn Amazon.

No I don't think so. My daughter wears them she's a size 8 uk. 24 inch waist and they fit her perfectly.

It should . I also wear size 12 trousers and the large fits me well.
