Great little fan!
Current usage update: So, we had bought 3 of these fans and now, after two years, we are down to just one now. Although they are great, they just donโt last. Keep in mind we use them for about two hours at a time and maybe once a week on average. One, with the dial on the base and two batteries had just stopped working and the other one with a single battery had issues with the usb connection. I think it might be soldered poorly and makes intermittent contact which worried me so I stopped using it. I am about to order another. Regardless, these are pretty great when functioning. The only irritating thing is that if they are plugged into an external battery the fan speed is poor compared to when it is just running off its own battery. I even tried removing the battery and running it but still runs poorly. We just keep them charged and run them full blast and plug them in when we stop. On camping trips in the north east, these are great for the kids. Our external packs kept them running all night. Hence my average on 2 hours once a week. We donโt use them during the winter, spring or fall. UPDATE: SkyGenius had contacted me and offered to replace the fan. The new one came in and I had turned it on and let it drain. After it drained, I had recharged it and it worked again just as long. The output is great and fairly quiet. Our baby likes the extra air movement when she's in the stroller and we have to cover her up due to the sun. She's a ginger with sensitive skin. I'd give SkyGenius a perfect 10 in trying to remedy this faulty fan! Customer Service was top notch. I bought this fan exclusively for our road trip to Boston for when our 13week old baby needed a little extra air. It worked great until the battery die after first use and I tried to recharge it. It never recharged again and the light (assuming a light that shows the charging status) never comes on. This this is now useless and I've gone past the return period since we were traveling for a few weeks. Junk. At least this one.

Just what I was looking for
I wanted a small, seemingly durable fan, which was battery powered and able to be mounted in various positions to help circulate the air in my tractor cab to keep the windows free of any moisture during certain weather conditions. This fan has met those requirements. The cab has its own heat and air circulation system, but the air is limited to blowing out of vents which are mounted in the cabs ceiling liner and face the windshield and side windows. This fan is intended to circulate the air across the rear cab window and it is doing what I wanted. This fan is small, I have attached a picture of me holding the fan in my hand to give you an idea of the size. The spring clip for mounting the fan seems to be well made and does hold the fan where I have placed it. I have also attached a picture of the fan in the tractor cab, circulating air behind the operator, which is exactly what I wanted the fan to do. It's easy to recharge, the battery life seems as described and overall, I am pleased with the fan and it's function. For me, the whole point is to move air and that's what this fan does. It's a handy, small fan that I could see being used in a variety of ways. For the price, it's hard to beat and I like I don't have to have the fan hooked to a 12 volt outlet when in use, which gives the fan much broader application and function for me. Its done what I wanted thus far. If you are looking for a fan which blows enough air to dry your hair, you might not be happy with this as it's air movement is limited based upon it's size, which is to be expected. I am also pleased the fan articulates in a variety of positions so it's usefulness seems assured. Don't know what else to say. It's a fan like described, moves the air, runs on battery power, has a mounting clamp which seems well made and holds the fan in the positions where I use it. As long as you are realistic about this fan's output, which seems in line with it's size and battery power, I would think most who purchase this would be satisfied. I know I am............

I have bought two of these... and there are pretty good and reliable!
I bought my first one back in June of 2020 and really liked it, since then I have used it in various locations in the house for various purposes and it'd been rock solid. I just recently bought another and although some slight cosmetic and port changes in the back panel it seems to have maintained the same quality. Frome someone that now has two of these and has been using one of them since 2020, I would highly recommend this portable battery-operated fan. See my pros and cons below: Pros: - A surprising amount of airflow from this fan - Variable speed control - Relatively fast charging with the included USB cable - Durable and Reliable - Easy clip and swivel fan head - Pretty quiet on the low-med speeds but much louder on the high speeds, to be expected through - Long battery light, uses an 18650 which comes with it, easy to replace with spares when needed. Cons: - A little loud on the high setting, again to be expected for the amount of air it pushes. Maybe a design change to the fan blade with a feathered edge for sound reduction. This portable fan is worth the purchase!

NOT great on a jogging stroller
Iโve used this several times on our jogging stroller while at theme parks, beaches and on our daily walks. Pros -the battery lasts a VERY long time. I used it multiple full days in a row (Disney, zoo, beach) and I never needed to recharge it. -when the stroller shade is down and the fan is on max speed it keeps the inside of the stroller VERY cool. One day it was 112 outside and he took a nap holding his blanket while under his stroller canapy with the fan on max and he started to get cold! I had to turn down the fan :) -the speed when on max is very fast and gives a great high energy wind. -you can adjust it to barely moving which allows a slight circulation. -very portable. I keep in in our stroller basket and it takes up very little space. Cons -the speed is controlled by turning the dial. There are no preset speed buttons. So I find that when Iโm jogging and I need to turn up the fan or lower it just a bit I end up adjusting way too much. I wish I could just click to low/medium/high etc -the fan doesnโt stay in the location that you put it. For example- after I clip it to the stroller I rotate the fan so that itโs blowing to the left of my son. After a few feet of walking on an even surface itโs dropped and in a completely different position. When in motion it will NOT stay facing the way I position it. I think itโs a great fan for use on a desk or stationary item. It has a lot of power and has helped us stay cool in the desert heat. However, I wouldnโt purchase again for myself or for another mom since the fan rotated all over the place when you just want it to stay pointed in a single direction. Great fan but not for strollers.

Fantastic for Off Grid Travel Trailer
I bought this little thing to use in our 24' travel trailer that we keep on a site where we're slowly building our new house. I had shopped for portable fans on many sites and chose this one and I don't even remember why I purchase this one - probably because it had the best reviews in its price tag. Most of the fans I looked at took D batteries, but not this one! I didn't recall reading that it was USB rechargeable, and that part works great. We only have 120v power when running a generator, so we rely on 12V, USB powered stuff for our trailer. We do have solar hooked up, so I could leave it plugged in to the one USB port in the trailer, but it's really nice at home too so it travels back and forth. The clip is nice and big and clips on all sorts of spots to help circulate air in the trailer. PLUS it has this flat base in the design of the clip so you can set it on the table or counters or any flat surface! The variable speed is great. The head swivels in every direction - there's no limit to how you can direct the air. It runs while plugged into USB. That means at home I use it as my desk fan and when we're up at our camper, I use it in the kitchen to help keep me cool. The price has gone up 25% since I bought it last week - at least for my account on Amazon. I'm not sure I would have bought this at the current price.

Great fan with strong motor
I bought a fan nearly identical to this one at Toys 'R Us and use it on a baby carrier. That Toys 'R Us fan is okay, but the motor is not very strong and does little to cool the baby during summer months. I also tried to use it to get breeze in a tent while camping, and it was worthless for that. So, when I saw the glowing reviews for this similar fan on Amazon, I thought I would give it a try, hoping that the motor would be more powerful. I was not disappointed. Holding the two fans side by side, the top speed of this Amazon fan is about twice that of the Toys 'R Us fan. This Amazon fan provides quite a bit of airflow for such a small device. I also love the fact that it can be recharged by USB. Our family has USB plugs everywhere, including the car. It's just so easy to plug this fan in for a few minutes to top off the charge. Finally, this Amazon fan is more flexible and can point in just about any direction. I was initially skeptical of this fan because virtually all of the glowing reviews (at that time, about 70% of them) were from people who had received a benefit for reviewing the product. I hate that practice and wish Amazon would shut it down. I've been burned before by buying a product with glowing reviews only to find that the product stinks and the reviews were bogus. Why not let a good product speak for itself? Despite my skepticism, this fan basically lives it up to the hype. It's a little flimsy/lightweight, but it has a powerful, adjustable speed motor and convenient USB charging. I'd recommend it. (And for the record, I'm just a regular Amazon customer who paid full price for this thing based on the good reviews.)

Fantastic fan- especially for a stroller
I bought this fan for a stroller for my special needs kid who is often stuck in her seat during outings because she can't walk. I'm in SE VA and even spring and fall are hot and this fan has been great. It's so easy to clip this to her stroller's umbrella and position it right on her (it swivels and also moves up/down and it holds it's position). There is a dial for speed adjustment, , so it's easy to set the speed to whatever you need. it has an indicator light when charging- red means it's still charging and blue means fully charged. I try to remember to charge it overnight for a next-day outing, but sometimes I forget and only charge it for an hour or so. I'm amazed how long it lasts even on high speed (which is really the only speed I use). The longest it lasted was over 4 hours on high speed (it didn't die) after an overnight charge. The only time it died was after I charged it (from dead) for an hour and a half and was on high speed. It lasted 2hrs that time. It should be noted this just comes with a USB cable and no wall plug. I was annoyed about that, but, thankfully, I have plenty of high speed plugs that I've bought over the year for phones/tablets. Just consider that if you don't have any available/free, you will have to buy one. The cable seems to be capable of fast charge and does well especially plugged into a computer, but has similar charging capabilities with a high speed wall plug. Overall, I think this fan went above and beyond what I expected for the price. I honestly thought it would die quickly or lose a charge over time. But we've had it the entire summer (and it's been a hot one) and it's been used often and always at full speed and I've seen no deterioration in performance.

Love The Fan--Love Sky Genius' Customer Service Even More
UPDATE: immediately after I wrote my original review (see below), the seller contacted me and made arrangements to replace this fan with a different model. So this revised review will talk about both this fan, the Sky Genius Battery Operated Clip on Mini Desk Fan, and the slightly larger, but just as excellent SkyGenius Battery Operated Clip on Portable Fan for Bay Stroller, USB Rechargeable 4400mA Battery Powered Mini Desk Fan (Max 32Hours) , that Sky Genius replaced it with. Though the company did replace my no-longer-working-right fan with a different model, let me say that I would still highly recommend this one, especially for using it on a desk. Its speed and air flow are truly excellent--I rarely had to turn it much above the lowest, highly adjustable speed setting--its battery keeps for a decent amount of time, and it is very, very quiet. My problem--and the reason it got 4 (and a half) stars, instead of 5--was that I had the fan clipped on top of my bed's head board with the main part of the fan facing down. While the fan worked wonderfully for about a month, the constant movement of the fan's blades, coupled with the placement of the micro USB port on the back of the fan, caused the charge port to shake loose. Eventually, the fan got so wouldn't run with just the cord or charge the batteries, because the cord could no longer connect properly. Since the single battery only lasts about 6 hours if the fan is on the lowest speed, even finding a way to charge the battery wasn't my idea of "fun". Another issue that mattered at 3 AM, but not if you are using the fan on a stroller or desk: the fan's on-off/speed control switch is on the back of this fan. Let me tell you, finding that switch at 3 AM, while laying down and desperately trying to put out the flames of a raging hot flash, was a grounds for some SERIOUS cussing. The other model of this fan that Sky Genius sent me has a larger base that holds 2 batteries, and it has a front-facing on-off switch/speed adjustment knob. The micro USB port is also on the base, so it doesn't get shaken by the fan blades' movements. It's heavier than this model, but well-balanced, even with it hanging off my headboard. The gist of all this is, I would still recommend this fan to anyone who needs a small, lightweight, quiet, and surprisingly strong stroller or desktop fan. I've tried other small fans like this, and they just aren't as strong, or as speed-adjustable. I wouldn't hesitate to use it on my desk, or to drag it with me to the park or coffee shop, because air conditioning doesn't mean a thing when you suddenly burst into flames. By the way? As good as these fans are, you can't beat the Sky Genius' excellent customer service. Though I was ready to just be cranky and try someone else's fan (I did, in fact, and sent it back), Sky Genius contacted me and offered to fulfill their guarantee without any hassle whatsoever. I would gladly buy from them again, ORIGINAL REVIEW: Love it--when it works. Maybe I got a slightly defective one, but after using it for only a few weeks, its speed fluctuates wildly, even when it's running on AC. I'm using it as I sit at my computer desk right now, and I can barely feel its effects from only two feet away. The blades look like they're chugging along, but not much air movement is happening. Also, the adjustable rolling switch is an absolute pain when it's clipped to your bed, and you're trying to turn it on in the dark. I do like this fan's cooling properties, but if you're expecting it to be effective for more than a few weeks, you may be disappointed.

Out of box failure. No stars.
Arrived unmade with charging board and blades loose inside shell. Had to dismantle to try and put back together. Still didn't work.

Stops working when head is at an angle
Great little fan, very powerful but stops working when head is at an angle which means when it's clipped to something it generally doesn't work for more than a few seconds.

great addition to small office
This is battery powered and charged with usb connector. I have it plugged into my USB hub, so very convenient. It's very quiet and really keeps me cool. The alligator clip is great, strong and sturdy, hooks to shelf so does clutter the desk. Makes working on my computer even more enjoyable.
