I bought eight of these place mats. When they arrived they were rolled-up and tied. I've had them about a month, and the edges still curl up when I want to use them. I've put heavy books on them to try to make them stop curling, but it hasn't worked yet. They're easy to clean, and so far I haven't seen any problems with hot plates messing them up, but the curling edges are VERY frustrating! They don't look very good on the table. They need to be shipped flat...not rolled-up!
