Solved my problem flows well and prevent back up
Well the little bugger works! I had to get a good sized washer to close in the gap but after that I no longer have water backing up the basement shower drain! Whew! And water flows DOWN this easily so no one stands in a puddle. Works great

Good Design, Strange Size
It's a smart design to prevent backflow, but the sizing is weird (something like 1.79 inches wide?) which I've never seen a drain pipe in that size. Make it in 2, 3, or 4 inches and it's an easy 5 star.
