Jensen CAR1000 10.1" Extra Large Touchscreen Media Receiver with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto l Built-in Bluetooth with A2DP Music Streaming and Phonebook Support

I purchased this to replace the stock Axxera Radio in my RV. For me, the exchange was plug and play. I just simply removed the old one and installed the new one using all the factory stuff that was in the RV. I didn't even have to swap out the plug. I've read articles where others have had to swap out the electrical plug (not a hard thing). This unit operates all cameras as stock and does not lower the audio when using the turn signals with side mirrors. I would highly recommend looking into this unit as an RV replacement radio as most of the factory ones are pretty crappy. It turns out that Axxera and Jensen have the same parent company.

Overall, I love this. It looks great. Sounds good. Loads fast. And most of all, you can't beat the price. My only complaints are minor...The USB port on the front of the unit does not work with Apple CarPlay. You have to use the USB port on the back of the unit. You can't change the color scheme to match your vehicle's. No HD radio. And last, the clock doesn't stay set...But there is an update on Jensen's website that fixes this issue. Again...I think it is great overall and I would recommend it.

I purchased one of those oddly named head units that do everything on the cheap. After a weeks use it started locking up on CarPlay with two different phones. I sent it back and bought the Jensen. I like having an actual knob to adjust the volume instead of looking for the little chicklet buttons. The Jensen is so much nicer in so many ways. First off there’s an actual manual in a plastic sleeve instead of being directed to a website for download. All of the wires are clearly labeled. Tech support is the best in the business! I called a few times and always get right through and they know their stuff, extremely helpful and pleasant.The 10 inch screen is beautiful. Button layout is fine. There aren’t a lot of options like changing led colors or backgrounds like so many of the other units, but the layout and functionality is well thought out. Best of all it just works! And works great. I’ve used the micro USB with 64 gigs of music on it, CarPlay is flawless, I’m using an adapter to mirror my phone for YouTube stories, the backup cam is great with that big screen, so is google maps. Power output is too much for the stock Bose speakers. I’m afraid one of them is cracking but that’s at an uncomfortable volume.All in all this is a high quality unit with high quality support. I have a 2 din Pioneer in my truck and this unit is much nicer. It gives the interior of my corvette a whole new modern look.

After I installed it the microphone didn't work. Also when I paired it with my phone on Android auto the screen would black out the radio would freeze until I manually reset it. I took a back out checked all the connections everything was fine on my end. I returned it and ordered a replacement.

I bought this and brought it to a pro to have it installed. When they hooked the power up to it, it started smoking. I contacted Amazon and they gave me my money back once it was returned

For the price the music is crystal clear I actually have 2 Rockford Fosgate 600 watts 4 channels and it sound better than Kenwood and pioneer this is a steal quality with Apple play

I purchased the 1000, received the 8000.I appreciate the slight upgrade. I didn’t give it 5 stars because I didn’t receive the product I initially purchased plus it’s a Jensen, not the best, but gets the job done and looks nice.
