I found this book to a be great tool for those of us getting back into the "dating scene"! I am a young widow, and things have changed a great deal since the days before I was married. The art of communication and sharing thoughts and opinions is somewhat diminished. However, I firmly believe it is essential to develop a true, meaningful relationship. This book helps make it kind of fun to broach subjects you may not normally bring up in the early stages of a relationship. The questions were all inclusive, covering a wide variety of topics. It was easy to use, direct, and to the point. It helps to cut through some of the garbage and see if the foundation exists or is even possible, before getting too far invested.It was a fun activity and the questions demonstrated an appreciation of many "old fashioned values". The tips made good sense and were pleasantly thought provoking. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I bought this book several months back and was impressed with its simplicity and depth. When I purchased the book, I wasn't in a committed relationship but was forward thinking, hoping to be in a relationship. After reading Big Mama Wisdom...I realized that this book isn't just for couples. Singles can also benefit from this book. I used it as a guide to get in touch with myself, and to help prepare me to be the type of partner I want. It prompted me to seriously contemplate who I am spiritually and morally, identify my goals and how I wish my partner to join me in my journey.I am currently in a relationship and would like to share the book with my fiance but I don't want to give home the copy I purchased on Amazon. Selfish? No, I just want him to have his own copy to make notes and spark discussions. :-)It really is a great read with common sense advice. You know that when we are in love, common sense and "mother's wit" goes out the window! We forget to ask the simple but extremely important questions. This book is a guide that helps us keep our head when we loose our hearts to another. It may even help prevent the heartbreak that may result from lack of communication and misaligned goals. I would strongly recommend it to others.

This was a cute idea, but I thought there would be narrative behind what her grandma told her. I was wrong.
