Orange High Temperature High Gloss Self Leveling Brush On Orange G2 Brake Caliper Paint System Kit

THis is what lead to me selecting this product.The application process for G2 Caliper paint was simple and the final results were far better than I expected them to be. I am so pleased with the results and recommend this to anyone looking add some improvements in the wheel area.You obviously need the necessary tools to jack up your car and remove the wheels. You will need a few other things to do this job.• latex gloves• safety goggles• masking tape• wire brush• 800 grit sand paper (if your calipers are rusted)• lint free microfiber or shop towels to wipe up mistakes.I’ll include a list in the descriptionYou must clean and remove all dirt, grease, rust and debris from the areas you intend to paint using the included brake cleaner. If you chose to wash the area with soap and water first you need to be sure it’s completely dry. For this application I blew out the calipers with a leaf blower scrubbed with a wire brush and sprayed the included cleaner until I felt the surfaces were prepped.Unless you plan on splitting the paint and activator into 2 or 4 equal batches you need to remove and prep all 4 wheels at once. Do not mix the paint until everything is ready to go.It’s important to mention wear a pair of safety goggles when spraying the cleaner as the spay back and mist may wind up in your eyes if you are wearing regular safety glasses.Once prepped add the included activator and stir well then wait 5 minutes before using. Once activator is added you have about 4 hours to work with the product. Applying 3 to 4 good coats at approximately 10 minutes per coat with 15 minutes between will take about that long. I chose to do all 4 calipers at once.The kit includes• Paint• Activator• Mixing stick• Brush• Brake cleanerThe brush provided is adequate for the job, just be sure to keep an eye on it and remove any strands that my appear loose so they don’t wind up trapped in the paint. I was able to do the full job with the brush provided and get great results.You may want to mask off any areas near your painting surfaceGet comfortable, painting takes a while about 10 minutes per wheel, more if you have a larger area. During the first coat the paint is a bit wet so apply lite coats and keep an eye out for drips.What I found was after a few minutes on the caliper the paint thickens, if you try to touch up these Ares it feels like you are peeling up the paint. Don’t be tempted to touch up these areas this stuff coats really well on the 3rd coat filling in all brush strokes and flaws.The first coat for me looked very uneven.Wait at least 15 minutes between coats since each caliper took me 10 minutes I just kept going around the car. The 2nd coat can be a little thicker and in some areas it feels like the brush is sticking to the previous coat. I found that more paint on the brush helped prevent this. And again don’t be tempted to touch up an area save it for the next coat. Keep an eye on the brush for stay strands.By the 3rd coat the paint is much thicker now, you also need to apply a wet coats to fill in any flaws. This paint self levels you can see the results in about 5 minutes. I followed up with a 4th coat just to fill in any areas that were less than perfect.Remember it’s recommended to wait 2 hours from your last coat before putting your wheels back on and 24 hours before driving

I loved the way my calipers looked after we painted them hot pink with this paint. It was easy to do, we didn't even have to remove the calipers from the car. We just put the car on a lift and removed the wheels, and started painting. The pink was the perfect color and looked great thru my black and chrome split-spokes!

BEWARE shelf life. What a rip off! Bad business practices. The paint came out like water color after all my work prepping and painting. Now I need to do it all over again with a different product. BEWARE.

I used it on a Volvo S40 and covered all calipers with two coats and had plenty left over. I covers great and looks even better. Had no problems with the paint. It mixed up well with no problems.

I just received a can of the "orange" paint. The top of the can has a small blotch of paint as a sample of the color outcome.Unfortunately, the color is drastically different than what is pictured on Amazon. The "orange" I received is much more redthan orange pictured. I will contact the manufacturer and will update my review if I either got a bad batch or if there is aquality control issue with their paints.

Turned my rusty calipers into a great looking set. I would recommend this to anyone looking to add a touch of detail to their car or truck.

Easy to apply! Takes about 1.5 days to do and dry. Works great. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because they sent me the wrong color at first

It is what I was looking for and will need more because I'm painting a engine block with it I knew it would work because I have used it before just did not know what it would take to do the job .I used enough to test its standing up to what I use to clean the engine before I go to car shows and it works fine and does not fade or come off . I will order more when I get the engine ready for paint Thanks
