Moja, Mbili, Tatu: A Counting Book in Swahili (Swahili Edition)

I love this little book. It is a great learner, has appropriate animals, and my granddaughters like it, too. As more and more African children are coming to the US, this is a great one for them as well to remember Kiswahili. I'm a fan.

However, I would have "loved" it if there had been an English translation throughout the book also.

Excellent children's book. Good introduction to Swahili. Easy to follow for children.

It's nice and has beautiful images, however there is no storyline but only numbers 1-10 on each page with their physical counterparts in animal (i.e. first page there is written the number one with drawn one animal and its name, second page number two with two animals and their name and so on). It's great for learning numbers in Swahili and the name of the animals depicted, however, I would have preferred it to have more text in it. I still recommend it as the Swahili written resources for kids are so little than anything is better than nothing!
